Are we really having layoffs next week?
Or is it just speculation?
July 1st Reorg
Based in Europe in the Product org. We were told this week that by July 1st they will have the reorg pretty much done and seems like layoffs are coming due to the TAM.
What's other orgs hearing and what region are you in?
Iran bo----g Oracles Datacenter
Sound like Iran is doing some damage in Dubai to Oracle. Is Dell next.
Suspicious wfh all
What departments are having to work from home next week????? Very sus last minute change….. other departments were on the same boat when they were let go.. right????
Berkeley Heights Parking
It’s a valid point that when/if construction begins that we lose more spots.
It’s starting to feel like the garage is not happening. Like they’ll just keep the status quo. Dark thought, but if enough people are let go, then it’ll just go back to 2023 where parking is tight but mostly manageable.
I don’t mean to be a Speculating Steve, but it’s now been almost a full year since the initial announcement. And with each passing date, it feels more and more like the garage is never actually happening.
Y’all still want to sell HON? Read this…
“Elliott Management quietly assembling a multi-billion dollar war chest with a shadow partner ahead of a major industrial breakup?”
Hearing louder whispers that Elliott isn’t just taking a position. they’re potentially teaming up with a low-profile investment firm to build a massive stake ahead of a split, with the endgame being far bigger than activism. The talk is that this could set up a strategic play to partner with (or even acquire alongside) another industrial heavyweight once the pieces are separated.
Still all speculation…no filings, no confirmations. But if even half true, this isn’t just a trade… it’s positioning for a full-scale industrial reshaping.
US and IDC layoffs will be huge
Until now canada is done , mexico is done ( at least for this round )
Combined about 1.5k+ layoffs
If the 20-30k number is correct IDC and US will be HUGE
How many are you expecting? Maybe they will run this on multiple months and more are to come to mexico and canada again
Monday morning you sure are fine .
You cannot tweet you way out of 23% of world oil, 48% nat gas, and 4.5/5.0% 10 yr bond rate.

Who is ready to work for Jane Fraser?
Bloomberg posted a story that citi execs are contemplating ways to grow deposits domestically through regional bank acquisitions. USB and TFc in play.
And yes. Aware that C “dismissed the baseless speculation “
How many operating council members and other “paper tiger” execs survive? Shouldn’t take long to figure out the incompetence.
Gateway cancelled
With gateway canceled would This create halo layoffs?
Fuel shortages coming - WFH returns?
Several countries have already run out of gas. Gas will soon be $10 a gallon if you can get it. Mandatory gas rationing coming. WFH will return sooon.
50 years
I’m predicting some form of internal IPO announcement/details as part of 50 year anniversary activities…
let the downvotes commence
Only certainty left is more cuts
This AI thing is unsustainable, however you slice it. But hey, at least the internet's having fun with Avocado sc--wup.
NDA March Madness!!
Heard there are 20 active NDA’s across the company at the moment. They’re overlapping and it’s apparent. This web is going to unwind and the employees should know. What it means can be either dire straights or some major reorg for the better. On this site it’s probably the dire straights.
“Money for nothing and the Forge for free”
Polymarket odds
Layoff will take place by…
March 19 —- 23%
March 26 —- 34%
April 2 —- 72%
April 9 —- 94%
Is the staff reduction real ?
I am just wondering if this site just makes us believe that situation is worse than is it ? All my colleagues I worked with are still here and I haven’t truly seen a job displacement due to HIH or AI yet. Yes some VP or contractors were let go that I knew but everyone is still there.
How much longer?
How much longer will this outfit last till its bankrupt or bought out? 5 years, 10, ???
As of the earning reports layoffs are mostly likely confirmed
here is the break down
$1.6 billion restructuring programme,
Phase 1 (Done) ~10,000 layoffs , $961M - this was late 2025
Remaining
Phase 2 (Now March-May) $639M
if they layoff from low paying areas then yes 20k is still to go , if its higher paid areas
then number will be lower , will see
what do you think ?
How layoffs will likely unfold
There will ALWAYS be layoffs. It is the Verizon way. It's also the Verizon way to pretend they don't happen, and do them under the table. The big one on 11/20 was too big to ignore, and got national media coverage. But going forward, I suspect the layoffs will be more "traditional", where specific groups or programs are targeted to be shutdown, as opposed to another "20% across the board" type of action. The Frontier integration will no doubt result in "redundancies" being identified. Other areas that have been mentioned are parts of Enterprise, specifically overseas, so I'd expect some cuts there as well.

Short ORCL ???
Earnings Tuesday night. ORCL is at $152.56. Do we short ?
Bear Case:
Oil might open at $115 a barrel tomorrow morning
$300 by weeks end is now a possibility.
The us economy is not designed for $150
DJI might open 1K down premarket
We may, just may, see the The Fourth Turning (1997) by William Strauss and Neil Howe prediction of social separation of those of living above and those living below their means.
Bull Case:
Then again, it may all pass by 4/1/26. We return to normalcy.
No Clue how it turns out !

Visa MasterCard Europe Issue
Why is this not being discussed? Europe is breaking up with Visa and MasterCard to use their own system. What's going to happen to overseas card acceptance? How does this affect Fiserv and other acquirers?

List is finalized but they layoff won't be tomorrow
If results are good, they will layoff after a week so more stock price will up. If results bad they can fire on Monday. But oim request revocation far fetched
Why did they move earnings?
The call was scheduled for the 19th but it's the 31st now. Anything to do with layoffs?
Latest impacts
Which lines of businesses will be next thus year? Not sure if anyone has an idea but definitely curious.

5% drop today…anticipating February sales numbers?
Feb flows
Anyone want to guess?
Any guess how the 20K layoffs be spread in 2026?
20,000 is really massive number to RIF
If 1K were riffed in January
and we don’t know how many were laid off in February (say 2000?).
Still have around 17K to be riffed beginning March 4. How is this number gonna be spread? 2K a month until December? Anxiety-inducing and demoralizing for employees!
Any guess/speculation?
Does anyone know when the IFP business is being sold?
The rumors are that will be sometime in 2026.
Another bid has come in for DXC
According to Reuters ,Bloomberg and other outlets Appolo and Kyndrl have made a approach for DXC in the $20+
DXC have acknowledged the approach but are not commenting further at the moment.
No layoffs?
Xbox has new leaders today, now that Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond are out — and you’d be forgiven for assuming that means yet another round of layoffs and shuttered studios, especially one day after Sony jettisoned a beloved developer.

Thursday notification?
This Thursday is the end of a pay cycle that will get folks off the books before the end of the quarter. What do you think? End of month RIF or April fools?
Conoco
I read an article that Conoco is going to sell 2.5 billion of their Delaware assets. I wonder if XOM will buy it?
What’s the story Dory?
That was a short tenure and strange timing.

Rumor of Company Wide Pay Raise
Rumors are circulating that our CEO BM is planning a 10% salary increase for all employees. While not yet confirmed, the potential raise has sparked excitement and speculation across the company. Woo hoo!!!
Can we please stop speculating about severance?
If you have confirmed information, please share it. Otherwise, we're just feeding the anxiety, and we're all stressed enough as it is.
