Project Panic

After 25 years I was terminated on 11/20. And now a local Engineering firm has just reached out to me to see if I would come to work for them on the projects I was working at the time of my dismissal. So VZ will now pay much much more to get projects completed and they won't be able to overwork me like they did in 2025. I was told my former manager was in "Panic" mode to get these projects completed. Should I take the job?

DTW North Partners

DTW North Partners JV, LLC (Michigan): Announced temporary layoffs for 154 positions across several airport food and beverage locations, effective December 19, 2025.

The board and hatchet a$$

They watched the company being burned to the ground and really didn't care.

They watched the arrogance about a superior network permeate almost the entire company, to the detriment of sales.

They really could give a sh$$ about the employees. They just want their bod fees and options.

They'll do anything for a short term stock pump, even if it means sacrificing people and destroying lives. Here's a clue, less revenue, less customers, less support, less of everything, including the stock price.

They really don't know anything about the actual business, but they're bringing in somebody who's been watching this burn for 7 years and because he was at virgin mobile and is tied in with the AI world he'll know what to do.

Hatchet a$$ can tell jokes, act like he's some cowboy, talk b.s. about how this was needed (he's responsible) and really not care about how many lives he's absolutely destroyed, all he cares about is the millions he continues to make.

They okayed mass layoffs on conference calls, they okayed destroying entire organizations, they talk about customer service but let key people be thrown away, I'm sure those customers are really happy about it (they're not.)

Some people being forced out thank the company for blah, blah, blah, heck to that, F$$$ the board, F$$$ hatchet, and F$$$ anybody who's talking about so-called survivor's guilt; that's a bunch of b.s. and shows what a huge hypocrite and a$$hole you really are, you still have a job (for now.)

F$$$ the board, hatchet, and all those mo--n's who think this is a good thing, it's really not.

WBD Sale - a total disaster for Stink

Stank keeps talking about being a “market-based company,” but the market has already delivered its verdict, and it is absolutely brutal.

Just look at the scoreboard.

AT&T’s market cap today is around $180B.
Netflix, a company AT&T once thought it could compete with through the WarnerMedia empire, is sitting around $430B+. Netflix is worth more than double AT&T. That alone tells you everything about which company the market believes in.

And when you look at how we got here, it’s even worse.

AT&T bought Time Warner for roughly $85B, swallowed billions more in debt, tried to play Hollywood, mismanaged the integration, then spun it off in 2022 into Warner Bros Discovery wiping out over 50 of billion in value.
WBD stock fell as low as $7.50, and even now AT&T stock at roughly $25.46 is trading below WBD’s $25.80.
An $85B asset turned into a fraction of its worth, and now WBD is being shopped to Netflix for double compared to the sale and divestiture price.

Billions burned.

A strategic failure so large business schools literally teach it.
And the company has spent the last five years trying to claw its way back to where it was BEFORE all these “visionary decisions.”

So when Stankey and the leadership team brag about “market-based” strategy, it’s a joke the actual market doesn’t find funny. Wall Street sees right through it. Investors have no confidence. Employees have no confidence. The stock has gone nowhere during his tenure, and the company’s major bets have been disasters.

If AT&T truly wants to operate like a modern, market-led company, then start acting like one beginning with ending his latest “visionary decision” - the outdated RTO obsession that adds cost, crushes morale, pushes out top talent, and delivers zero measurable business benefit. Wait too long and you’ll never recover from that too.

Real market-based companies reduce overhead, increase flexibility, retain talent, and innovate.
AT&T is doing the opposite and the market has priced that in loud and clear.

Leadership can keep talking about culture, presence, and “the plan,” but the numbers don’t lie.
The strategy isn’t working.
And the market knows it.
And so do we.

Atleos Trimming the Fat?

So now that this wonderful Auto Routing in OFS is working so wonderfully- Says absolutely no CEs! But the Senior Management is all in on this and ignoring what we all think of this system. The TMs are loosing more and more abilities to do anything. They cant do anything with calls or scheduling. so I see the SPs and TMs getting cut. Maybe not all of them but a big chunk of them. I can see some of the CEs getting changed to Contractor status or just cut more of us. Hope im wrong on this but after all, there was a reason for Splitting NCR to begin with. To make us more sellable.

Big XII Championship Game

I am watching the Big XII championship game right now presented by Edward Jones. In a first quarter commercial break here pops up our beloved Penny Pennington with her dyed hair (when you see her in person she has plenty of gray). She talks about Edward Jones standing beside people helping them achieve their dreams and find their “rich”. She forgot to tell the football fans that she will help you achieve your dreams unless she can offshore your position for cheap Indian labor. If that is the case then you are on your own. Penny is such a blatant liar!

Backfilling Positions Q1

I am beginning to hear rumblings of some of the front line sales reps who were laid off being backfilled as early Q1. Primarily the VBG client execs, public sector and sled CEs, SAMs, and the SMB reps who were just laid off. It’s sounding like they laid off who they perceive as low performers only to be backfilling their positions for the same or similar territory come Q1.

Personnel challenges faced by AT&T

This Forum reflects the need for significant headcount reductions in 2026. We struggle with any decision for increased investment while AT&T continues to retain these bad seeds. They tarnish the value of your Product. AT&T could have a bright future if the tougher decisions are made to prevent further decline.

January layoffs in the works....

Get ready folks, here comes another round... Pipeline is crawling, lots of folks on the bench... But wait, we spent a lot of money on SalesForce!! Just helps to show how bad it is, quicker and more efficiently. Can't fire people quick enough to save $$$. Let's fire more hard working Americans and move those roles offshore, stat! AAR please! Cause none of us have served in the military, but we did this really cool thing at West Point and like to believe that we really are tough, like rugged man tough and we got a T-shirt and love to add it to our linkedin profile, cause you know, it makes us look tough. Did I mention how rough and tough we are?

Solutions Integrator <---- Failed
VAR <---- Abandoned the back bone to chase a field of dreams
AI Super Star <---- Not really, but it sounds cool, like cool cool
Dud <---- Current state of affairs

All the execs are trying to get their buddies into the CEO role to save their behinds. Hey, I know let's hire more of the Lequin family to come and help out.. cause as you know, they crush quota! Hahahahah

If you invested funds in Insight five years ago, you only got a 17% return. Wow, those are some stats to brag about around the Christmas dinner table. Hey, we salvaged 1/3 rd of market cap to boot in only 2 years. Man, I can't wait to tell the kids. He-l, I think that I will be writing a book, doing a podcast, a vlog and well just telling the world how awesome we are. I just bought 20 more pieces of that awesome Fuchsia clothing to show just how much I love this place.

Make sure that you kiss a lot of behind to not get the boot on January 5th. Or just call yourself a CTO or CISO, since we have unlimited number of those around here and you'll be safe.

$&7)(;4//

I had worked for Ericsson and Hans was a wrecking ball. Layoffs all over. I moved to AT&T and that wasn’t better. So… I went to VZ. And what the he-l, they hired Hans. Then the cuts started. What I want to know is who is going to be held responsible for VZ loosing the top spot in wireless? So give 20 million for failure? For his departure! BS in my opinion!

Did Walgreens Fail On Purpose?

If you are planning on taking Walgreens private, wouldn't you want to pay as little as possible to do so? And, once you own the company, wouldn't you want to "improve" it easily to make as much money as you can when you sell it or have it go public again?

For instance, is it possible that Pessina/Sycamore/etc. intentionally:

  1. Created a bad anti-theft policy so Walgreens would incur losses that could easily be made up after changing this policy later.

  2. Created bad losses like the doctor office scheme, etc.

  3. Paid massive amounts of money out to 'leaders' who were either friends or affiliated with each other.

The reason I thought of this is because of all the new over-stock all the stores are getting. They obviously held back on stocking the stores immediately before the sale and then after the sale, went back to making sure stores are fully stocked. That is at least somewhat of a manipulation. What else did they do.

Texas and BTC - layoffs?

Most Spring employees between the age of 40 and 55 are dead weights and holding onto a capsizing vessel for their dear life as they know that they cannot find any other job and ExxonMobil is the only place where their BS existence gets tolerated.

If the company fires each and everyone of them, it will not make any difference. Most have been rotten by the poor core culture by working under toxic reward conditions once they have worked more than 5-10 years. It is a point of no recovery.

Those who worry about BTC, let's be clear.... BTC only recruits the worst and from the bottom of the Indian talent pool. Do not expect virtue from that place. Only expect grinning yes men and women who will do anything to get your or anyones money in their pocket.

Principles do not matter to both these classes. Virtue is an unknown word and greed is the only motivation.

Done

Well. That’s it. Ford guy from way back. Sick of BS here. People su-k. Product su-ks. Done. Used to dream about ford. Fairlane, mustang, galaxy, comet….. so many name brands. Destroyed. Can’t take it. Ford blue. No more. Sorry !

JW ... still in his bubble dreamland

Unbelievable - JW has become a laughing stock .... tone deaf and unrelatable to 99% of IOL staff across the board. Did y'all see his interview emailed - felt like a replay of his announcement on 30th Sep (exact same words too) - must be practicing them every night in sleep too! What a joker - worst CEO ever awardee! No leadership skills. He looks weak and incapable of ushering IOL to rebuild from here.

Not a single person I know in company is willing to trust this JW joker. Forget the transformation - people mostly in all stages of career - near retirement/Mid-career/Early career - everyone is looking to bail out of this sinking ship over next 2 years. Purely based on the lack of trust of the CEO. I wish HR understands this soon enough.

Not that anyone is asking, but perhaps here is an advise - EM could fire this joker CEO because of all the ill will he has earned in such a short time & replace him with a more trustable person to take the company forward into transition - someone who is actually capable of doing the job and not just a bootlicker.

Tech Reorg Incoming

History repeats itself. The great RIF’s of 2023 and 2024 were big. The 2025 one was disruptive. I don’t think we have seen anything yet with what’s coming ahead of FY27 given current path. Everyone in teams are going to be asked to cut and tech is going to be back to the basics. Keep email going and get people phones and computers. Then get out of the way.

Few domains will be left. The way EH wants it. He thinks Tech is nonsense. Just knows he cannot say it in public on record.

Free Bird Here

I see nothing has changed at the Great Blue Monster. Check in here occasionally to find out how many lives they are wrecking this year.

Was caught up in 2022 layoff at PEP after 15 years when my department was offshored.

The last 3.5 years are the best I've had since before I started at PEP.

Feel for those still stuck at that soul crushing company. Much better companies out there to work for.

Wishing you all health, wealth, and happiness.

Agile - I LOVE Agile!

So I went to my morning meeting. We all joined. Some were still waking up (west coast) and others had already consumed multiple cups of coffee.
"good morning!" said the scrum master.
"mmmmm" said we all.
"OK so we are going to go through the tickets now and start with you, Bob"
Ummm...OK so I'm not Bob, but I have to say, I started multitasking right away. Why you say? Well because what Bob does has nothing to do with what I do. In fact, all members of the team work on different things that really don't overlap.
But wait! We need Agile! Agile will improve lead time, cycle time, WIP, and other things (unmentionables)
In this team, nope. No one cares. Each is in their own world. Step back say 5 years, and everyone was trying to help. We all crossed lines. Now? Nope, all I care about is my tickets and their due dates.
So now we have a scrum master, a product owner, a manager, and then.....the rest of us. So we went from our manager (one person) to now 3 people all trying to manage the rest of us. And, did I mention, 4 of 7 got laid off? So now 3 of us are being managed by 3 new bosses to get more done with less.

This is the WF implementation of Agile. Read it and weep.......

Time of year for glad-handing and back slapping

just love seeing all the Linkedin posting of the various groups getting together for "end of year" celebrations , congratulating each other on such a great year, in the midst of continual layoffs. Still see Kate talking about "shaking" up industry..... hard to do that when you continue to lose money. Also good to see KJ, Stansbury, Tzetiel and some of the other higher ups reflect on a "job well done" and talking about all in, while the "no more" Lumen humans that were cut loose wonder how they will get through the holidays .... only real winner in all this is Brene' Brown, who continues to get rich off the company.

Team members Being slashed

After being with the company for 10plus years State Farm decided to find an “issue” with a coverage we offer and then say we weren’t offering it correctly but still have to offer it. Got a whole team cut right before thanksgiving. The company is going downhill 1000%. All of our long time customers receiving NO notice or anything about this change. Just left in the dark with no clue what is going on.

Someone pinch us - IS THIS DAN FOR REAL? Making jokes in the ALL Hands?

Dan telling jokes and stxpid stories - in the ALL hands - while we are all freaking out of the future and so many lives being impacted. This is so unwelcomed.

Dude - you as a board were s failure - VZ leaders are just clowns - following the board and now you keep a while company to do a seinfeld sequel clown show 🤬

From Dan: satisfying our custs and shareholder - yeah, Right!

Is this guy living in La-la land? Satisfying customers? For years customers have been complaining thar VZ is super expensive. While TM proivded a flat rate bill, VZ’s bills are never the same. The arrogance of VZ leadership and the board bite us all.

So their best solutions was: Fire 13k of our peers. This is all BS

Accenture

Isn't the Accenture contract cancellation date fast approaching? Does anyone know how many current Accenture contractors will be brought on by the new vendor and how many will be let go?
Someone I know who is still there tells me they have been setting up access for new the new vendor like crazy.
