How much is your formal notice before termination date and are they deducting that notice from your lump sum severance ?

If you got 8 weeks notice was your severance package 18 months less 8 weeks?

Is anyone getting longer formal notice? Did anyone get like 6 months formal notice so that severance was significantly reduced ? (18 months, less 6 months ?)

Will start looking for other work if my team is hit again

My team has been reduced by 30% in the last year while Oracle GPT has not made us 30% more efficient. The people let go in the last layoff had been at Oracle a long time which has made things harder slower too. My job has turned into a death by meeting multitasking he-l.

I’ll be looking for other companies to work for if my team is reduced again.

Nurses at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital plan to rally against upcoming layoffs and service reductions. They are protesting the dismissal of seven nurses and proposed cuts to the Ambulatory Treatment Center's hours. Nurses argue these changes will negatively impact patient access and care quality. Tool of the Board

I've always believed Dan was brought in to be the fall guy for what the board really wanted to do. At least from a reduction standpoint. I think the never ending focus on AI is more him than the board because he sees himself as a visionary. Or he wants to be seen/remembered as a visionary. That said, the one thing I heard consistently (in addition to being a hatchet man), was that Dan was not a fan of outsourcing, yet we continue to do it. Why?

So has he really changed his methods or is this more the board's decisions and he's just the face of it now...? Did AI make him do it?

Layoff info

The company will conduct reductions in force (RIFs) each month. There is a targeted headcount reduction that must be achieved based on forecasts designed to demonstrate that operating expenses are being managed and financial controls are in place.

For this round, approximately 90% of impacted employees will be notified by Thursday of this week, with a small number of notifications extending into next week due to colleagues being out on PTO.

Going forward, colleagues should expect RIFs around the same time each month. However, this month’s reduction is expected to be larger than usual, with a higher number of colleagues being affected.

Kyle Malady

My prediction is once Kyle Malady retires, you will see consolidation back to VZ 1.0 and then you will see mass reductions in overlaps across two orgs back to one.

I could be wrong but that’s where I believe this is headed / kind reason Sampath out and absorbed without replacement.

Let’s see how this all plays out …
