Will you take any time off?

I've been thinking about what happens if I get the call. Do I start sending applications the next day? Or do I take some time, a couple of weeks or a month, to reset before diving back in? I've seen people do both, but I'm not sure which is right.

I have an internal source who just shared with me the final review of layoff plans was concluded today. On Monday they will initiate early morning emails informing those being let go. Full severance.
