Is it coming before the long weekend?
What’s really going on?
There’s a growing concern about how decisions are being made. On top of everything else, there seems to be a pattern where certain groups receive preferential hiring and protection when their managers share the same background. This creates an uneven... — read more
How many SVPs are there
I wonder what’s the percentage of SVPs leaving in/voluntarily? There are 3 leaving from Peters email earlier today plus a few more that were fired last week.
When Leadership Realizes No One Is Safe
SVPs, VPs, directors…leadership is officially shook. It has finally hit home that no one is safe. Now it’s a survival game, complete with finger-pointing, people throwing each other under the bus, and everyone trying to outlast the next person... — read more
Decisions are being made strategically or just reactively?
Management keep shuffling people around, employees and contractors were let go but it looks like once the Y28 administration comes in, the cycle will start again everyone brought back, teams bloated, and the same loop repeating.

Cuts because of "AI"
Whoever (Roscoe?) is the inside source talking to the press saying a bunch of senior leaders were fired because of AI, we don't even have any good AI tools you d-mb fu-k. What a crock of sh-t.
Tech cuts
I work in tech and want to stay anonymous but I am worried almost every day about loss of remote days or just the loss of my job.
VPs and directors with just few reports
Why is this going on for so long?
VPs are shaking in their boots
They are next. Most of them couldn't get a middle manager job outside of this company.
Was there any official announcement?
Any of you got an email with official statement? Since these were group leaders, you would think some communication would follow.
Tech cuts to FTE
I dont understand why are they making cuts to the tech when they need us to do the work it's already been shown at the very least we are cheaper than the AI alternatives.
Has your workload increased?
I am guessing yes. How are you handling it? Is your management aware? Mine has increased substantially. I don't know how long this lasts but health can take the back seat only for so long.
In-office Requirements?
Anyone else hearing rumors of changes coming to the current in-office requirements? I’m assuming they’re just looking for ways to ratchet up pressure to get more people to leave voluntarily instead of continuing to pay severance packages.
Where to?
This just isn't a serious place of work anymore. Where should I go next? Amazon? CapitalOne? If you're smart and hard working where would you go? I'm tired of the antics.
Labor Day Cuts?
Are we thinking layoffs the day before our bonus day off?
The WARN act notifications.
Does anyone know how the company is getting around the Worker And Retraining Notification (WARN) that I believe the company is subject to.? The numbers involved in the various RIFs imply they should be filing WARN reports. I know the earlier round... — read more
Constant Layoffs. Yet still hiring weekly..
I don’t understand the idea of these constant layoffs yet every Monday there’s new ppl getting hired. I see friends who’ve been with the org for years get laid off without warning then suddenly I have a new desk mate/more ppl being added to very... — read more
How do they decide who gets laid off?
Is it the VP that decides or is it your manager? Pulte? What metrics do they use? Commit amount? How often your name comes up in meetings? Does your age matter much? What about pay?
Why Don’t They Do Voluntary Separation Packaged
If they want to maintain or improve morale while still slashing headcount, why not offer voluntary separation packages to those who have been at the company over 8 years? You’d get headcount down, limit the angst for those who perform well and want... — read more
Executive pay
There is salary, a sign-on bonus, an annual bonus, deferred salary, deferred compensation, and all other compensation. The total pay is well into the millions and easily exceeds any of your guesses. Same goes for your VPs and SVPs. ... — read more
Can people stop inventing numbers?
Is your goal to make people panic? You don't know what's coming. Unless you're part of the C-suite, you have no idea how many people will be laid off and when. This is all a guessing game, and stating it as fact can only serve to further erode... — read more
Enjoy your August
It's going to be a rough fall season. I think they are on a mission to make this company very lean. That means going down to 6000 employees this year.
If you not on H1b,H4 and other visa program start worrying!
Me and few in my org effected and other are on visa program got protected. What does this mean?
Fishbowl and Glassdoor?
Anyone else no longer able to see the Fannie Mae “bowls” on Fishbowl and Glassdoor? It now says they don’t exist. They were active prior to 10 am yesterday.
How many got impacted today? What is the Severence structure
How many got impacted today? What is severance? Feeling really stressed out.
They really need to get rid of more directors and VPs instead of ICs
OK, so I have sympathy for everyone who's impacted, and nobody deserves this. They don't need to get rid of all the directors and VPs because some of them actually know what they're doing. But seriously, and objectively, they should get rid of the... — read more
Any VPs or directors let go?
Large number of them can be replaced with AI far easier than your lower level SMEs.
What is the total number?
How is the mood in the office?
Layoffs Today?
Someone on glassdoor said they got laid off this morning. Anyone else hear anything?
It's Freddie's turn
You folks are next around Labor Day.
Care for yourself more than Fannie layoff
Please don't be stressed out on layoff, it may be rumour or actual layoff. Don’t worry for things, did't happen yet, be a man and face situation when it comes. Laugh, smile and enjoy your life. Work is work, you are living in USA the most resilient... — read more
I'm almost, almost hoping to get my walking papers today
After another sleepless night, I realize that this job has cost me so much mental health that being shown the door with severance is now sounding much better to me than staying here and going through the same thing again and again. So bring it on, I... — read more

Another Senior Leader bites the dust
I am guessing Brad got tired of three stooges and pulte. I wonder what other senior leader is leaving…
It's diabolical
To have these indefinite rolling layoffs going on already for a year and probably continuing for few more years. What a morally bankrupt leadership void of any care for their employees. Also notice how this repugnant disgusting selfish behavior has... — read more
Layoffs this Friday 7/24
