Is there currently any hiring freeze?

Has anyone been removed from their team and put on temporary assignment with no team or supervisor to report to since the VSP came out? Curious if people that have were already slated to be cut loose. Seems odd they would restructure before the VSPs are approved or denied.

SAS is having an event for retirees, weeks after the company-wide celebration, to which we were not invited. Much of the success of SAS is due to the great work of retirees. If we come to said event, we have to pay for our own lunch! Seriously!?! We get to listen to stuff about the latest stuff that ki-led the goose that laid the golden egg, and after all we did, they won't even spring for lunch for us?!?
