This potentially makes arm a monopoly, and with Softbank blocking career mobility to Graphcore, things could get very constrained for engineers in the UK

Execs Leaving
Any word on other higher executives getting let go and how much will that impact the people under them really? Will whole teams be impacted?
Manager acting strange - what's up ?
My manager isn't engaging with the team at present, I pinged the other day and not even an acknowledgement
Not joining daily calls etc
Are there changes coming ?
Exploration
So, exploration will be gone entirely ? Even the VP is done. Is this the right move?

Can we talk about the choke hold India and Indians have on the firm?
Pretty much the title. I know every group has their bad apples but seeing how many employees of other ethnicities (not even talking about white people here) have been disproportionality replaced by those from South Asian countries is absurd. Am I alone in thinking this?
No more rounds before July?
Is that certain?
Anyone know where the 400 cuts are hitting?
My manager said our team is safe, but I'm not convinced they actually know for sure.
We're done, right?
I just heard somebody say he thinks more notifications will go out today, but I have a feeling he's just being paranoid. It's over, right?
How long is the hiring freeze?
Applied for some positions and heard there is a hiring freeze?
Giant leak in PDC 2F
Ceiling tile looks like it’s about to burst open, drip has the sound of a faucet left on. Return to the office and expose yourself to mold and wastewater.
We are in March 2026, anybody heard aabout pay
The uplifts were supposed to be in the March pay.
Has anybody heard from Raul and his gang of liars?
St. Helena District Proposes Staff Cuts

Morale is in the gutter
You can feel it everywhere. Nobody believes in leadership anymore because they haven't gives us a reason to in a long time. The ship is sinking fast and everyone knows it. If you're not job hunting, you're one of the few who isn't.
Don't get comfortable at Citi
The company's entire focus is reducing costs. That means nobody is secure, no matter what you might think or what your manager might have told you.. If you're thinking of relocating or making long-term plans, think again. This isn't a place with a future.
Current pay level
I have worked at the bank since 2014. Several years ago I received a promotion to Sr. Lead Analytic Consultant. The raise that went with that promotion put me above the lower limits by just a couple thousand dollars. Currently that role is posting for $139K - $239K per year. After my increase this year I am still making below the lower limit. Is this normal? Are others experiencing this same issue? For background, I have been 'Meets' consistently over the last couple years but never missed an SLA or Training assignment.
The race to the bottom continues
They have always told us “our people are our most important asset”. What does it say when you sell your most important asset. You are in a race to the bottom. I hope they win. Get out while you can. My sympathies for all those who have been affected by this very poor business decision.
Belfast thinks they are safe. It’s all about the crossed fingers and let’s huddle together.
Just like so many other sites, they were given a feel good speech and feel all safe and sound. It’s all nice weather before the storm hits. The layoffs are a roving spot light. Sometimes it quickly passes over, sometimes it stops and stays for a while focusing on one area only. Right now the Belfast office feels safe but so does the docks before the ocean swells. Oh, there’s plans for Belfast alright, they’ve just not manifested yet.
Let's fire this baby up
Cross posting from the FIS Layoffs page here only makes sense. Buehler? Buehler?
Who's ready for GOOGLE
Is everyone elses departments and co-workers freaking out about the Google migration next week? There are some people that think this will be the greatest thing with no issues, but I have to disagree....
Ai training
Holy cow is this training horrid.
Evanko is going to drive the company further off the cliff
Was he not the CFO the past few years? And greenlit HIH?
March 2026 Layoffs?
I've heard that layoffs may start soon, especially with anyone on bench for more than two weeks. What are people seeing and hearing?
CEO
Indiana has a new CEO. Worried?
When will I get laid off?
Because I don’t think I ever will. But even if I do get the axe I’ve already made hundreds of thousands of dollars working here.
Really this bad?
I’m honestly having some regret about taking this job, especially after finding this forum. I wish I had come across these comments before accepting the offer, but here I am. Is it really as bad as people describe?
I started in January and my role is remote, but based on what I’m reading, it sounds like that could change at any time. I also don’t really feel like part of the team yet. I assumed it was just because I’m still new, but now I’m starting to wonder if this is just the culture here.
Is this how most people feel? Is everyone just quietly checked out?
Can’t sleep
Tomorrow is the big layoffs day. Can’t sleep.
Stock together
Why is no one talking about how stock together was removed without notice or a heads up. Make sure your paying attention to your 3% raises, ST is gone.
What is DXC going to do?
What is DXC going to do in order to protect its employees from the effects of war and mitigate its impact on us? For now all we got was pushing towards "extra vigilance to protect business" but how about us? Prices will go up, there is stress, and all they can do is trying to force us to some kind of extra care for the business? What the heck?
Has anyone else noticed how strange people seem at work lately?
I do not remember it feeling like this before. There is a level of fakeness that feels excessive. Conversations that feel transactional. People who can be vindictive, rude, and in some cases honestly cruel. Not openly aggressive, just quietly cutting. It's really kept pulling on me.
I do not have these issues outside of work. That is what makes it unsettling. It makes me wonder if something about the environment changes people, or if I was just naive for a long time.
I had a rough year, so I have tried to account for that. I have tried to tell myself maybe I am just more sensitive right now. But it feels bigger than that. Over the last few years I have slowly lost faith in the culture here, and what scares me most is feeling that cynicism creep into how I see people in general.
I do not want to believe this is just how people are.
Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just me?
Rollover out took over a month
From the time TIAA received my paperwork in good order until the time they transferred the money out, it took over 35 days. Like, wtf? Shouldn’t the more than a few days. What goes on?
South
Heard Desmond thinks the south shouldn't work on ge motors due to getting injured working on them. Sounds like he wants to make the south smaller and road truck sites.
Bill and his BOD continue
to sc--w stockholders. 13 % price drop in 5 days. You defenders will say market economics are to blame, nonsense! If they had built the franchise and gotten the stock to a level it should be this would be a blip, it is not. Remember PNC as a regional competitor close to us has grown and more than doubled their share price last 5 years. I wonder if there’s any angst in the C suite or by this Board? Probably not.
Think layoffs will keep going next week?
I could really do without another stressful weekend.
Heartbroken for everyone who lost their jobs
I feel for each person and their families. I’m sad and furious all at once. This constant dread, this existential threat hanging over us - it's no way to live. I lost an amazing colleague this week, and his wife's job is on the line too. Two young kids, a mortgage, bills we all can barely keep up with as it is. It's just devastating.
Denver office future
Anyone know if we will keep the Denver office open? I would prefer to live in Denver over Houston but not sure if Bpx will consolidate to Houston.
Maintenence Tech
The idea that a fiber technician can properly maintain a hybrid fiber coaxial plant with limited hours and frequent outages while also disparaging the expertise of outside plant technicians , and vice versa referring to us as maintenance technicians, is completely ridiculous always trying to reinvent the wheel when you know this Altice Optimum experiment will always be nothing but a ponzi scheme
Supervisor’s Holiday PTO Reminder or Possible Implication About Post‑Review Layoffs?
All employees receive three 8‑hour holiday days each year. My supervisor advised me to use all three, and mentioned that if I don’t use them, I will lose them. I’m unsure whether she was simply reminding me about the policy or implying something else, such as a possible layoff, by encouraging me to use the remaining holiday hours.
What do you think she was trying to say?
