BPS TA: four laid off this morning

No rhyme or reason for the chosen: some long term tenured, some newer, but good at their jobs. That department was being hammered by senior leadership about meeting SLAs. They will regret it later when the staffing is needed later in the year. Why, Lord, oh why?

Executives are psychopaths

Matt Carr had an all hands yesterday. He said we need to move on from the laid off employees, was laughing the entire time and came off as an arrogant fat man. Not to mention, was complimenting women for looking good, super weird. There was a tornado warning alarm that went off and he dismissed it and kept the call going. He’s not fit for that job. What makes him a psychopath more than anything is that he promised no more lay offs but we all know that lay offs will continue. These “leaders” are clueless.

Sirius lays off 12 from the Howard Stern show.

Having worked there for the past 10 years I was shocked to come in and find this out. It feels like familiar faces have been wiped from the office like trying to get an old apple product fixed in the apple store. I heard that the NDAs were brutal? Anyone have any news from those laid off?

CFS and the decoys

For those that don't know, CUSA is surrounded by woods and open space. The area has lots of wildlife. Fox, geese, and others. All those working there have never had issues with this. Wildlife happens. Enter CFS. Decoy coyotes are now ALL OVER the parking lot and building. Being randomly and regularly moved by the new security guy that CFS apparently demanded we employ. CFS are soft, overly privileged, and clueless. I can't with them. I wonder if they know about the wildlife with no legs that get into the building or the 2 legged varieties that call the river bank "home".

Why are people always so angry here?

I'm genuinely curious. If you hate your job so much, shouldn't you be trying to get out? I'm happy where I am, and I come here because I fear losing my job, not because I hate the company. The overwhelming hate I encounter here all the time is always shocking to me.

You do realize layoffs never stop, right?

It's the major rounds that happen occasionally and everybody gets all panicked about. But there are constant cuts, happening all the time, with just a few people here and there. You aren't noticing because you're not paying attention to anything smaller scale. Don't assume you're safe just because there won't be any major rounds before September or whenever.

EMHC Hair Standardization Initiative

Dear EMHC Team,

After several site visits, I have identified a recurring operational concern: an alarming level of cranial uniformity among the male population.

At this point, I am no longer confident that there are multiple individuals involved. It is entirely possible that EMHC employs one bald gentleman who simply changes safety glasses and shirts throughout the day.

For safety and identification purposes, I propose the following corrective actions:

  1. Mandatory name tags with large font.
  2. Optional mustache differentiation program.
  3. Assignment of unique call signs (e.g., Bald Eagle, Bald Eagle II, The Chrome Dome, Captain Reflective Surface).
  4. Investigation into whether baldness is an unofficial leadership competency at EMHC.

Please advise whether this phenomenon is due to genetics, stress, or prolonged exposure to refinery air.

Respectfully,

A Concerned Observer

Why is Verizon only reporting under 500 layoffs this time ?

So they are just assuming everyone will take the job at the indirects ? Regardless if anyone does Verizon still needs to own up to the thousands not 500. BTW how many fraud transactions are going to get pushed through if the rep is leaving ? I can’t believe how Verizon handles layoffs when so many will be there for another month. What a shrinkage nightmare !

OpenAI hacked Apple, asked people to steal data before they left.

As if Oracle needed any more weight added to the anchor around it's neck that is OpenAI.
This is sooooo bad, like devastating.
