Last Tuesday my toxic manager called me rambling about job opportunities in a certain group I should look at but when i asked her job numbers, titles etc..she just said look out there and she said not even sure there are openings in your hub but you know them so reach out. This manager also gave me my first ever IM in 29 years with no real reason so I know she targeted me because she does not like me. The last 2 1/2 years since she became my manager due to a reorg has been miserable. When she gave me IM, I told her at that time I would be looking at internal jobs but do not think she was trying to help me when she called me because there were no jobs even in the group she told me about because i asked around. She told the team a year ago she cannot tell us when she knows person will be laid off but will try to give a hint. I am going to be mad if it is the case but on the other hand will be a big relief to escape her and toxic environment. Big fear at 49 is i will have hard time finding something external. Do u think she is giving me a hint?

Does Dell give time to move internally ?
If your name is picked for layoffs, can you ask if you can get some time to try out applications for other teams ?
I know that FAANG has this policy. Curious if Dell does too.
This might help those who cannot get jobs elsewhere or might not want to relocate.
Internal Marketplace
Can anyone share their experience changing groups internally?
Did you use the Internal Marketplace? If you do apply for internal jobs, does your current manager get notified?
Trying to figure out how internal moves work.
Vasara risk project
Does anybody know about the "Vasara" risk platform and the team around it? Is it a good team to join internally, from either the tech or the quant side?
Thanks but no thanks
Been applying internally, but keep getting the thanks but no thanks emails! Fully qualified for positions I’m applying for, very frustrating!
The farewell emails today were sad
Just a sad day for all those impacted. Some really good workers let go who have been here a long time. The rest are wondering when their turn will be.
25% of our department was cut and I only heard of one person finding a internal role in the 2 weeks. Good luck to everyone. This job doesn’t define who you are as a person.
Internal hiring
The hiring managers team is going through a reorganization, will be the headcount for the role I applied still available in your experience? Completed the final interview a while ago. The recruiter mentioned that they are still waiting for the decision.
Can management block/prevent you from transferring to a different team?
Looking to apply to another team internally but wondering if I don’t have any backup if management would prevent me from being transferred over.
A Number of People are Looking to Exit
I was on a meeting earlier where open revolt over the performance review process broke out due to the Director on the Spectrum's inability to not irritate nearly everyone on his team due to his inability to think big picture versus dot I's and cross t's just so he can say it's done while trying to claim that TB reviews 1500 performance reviews personally and that's why we all needed to rush. Way to try to pass blame for his own control freak issues A lot of people are suggesting they are looking to exit or switch roles internally, resulting in a likely derailment of the initiatives underway.
How?
How does an executive assistant become a learning advisor in GOA?
Infinite
So who all is being moved to infinite?
Is there a hiring freeze announced internal?
A job i applied to I had heard good feedback however was told due to the acquisition the role is on hold and detail on how long this could be? Is this normal here? Seems like larger internal things are not being shared
Reorged but not working out
If you were reorged (moved to another department without applying / not your choice) and it’s not working out. Can you apply to another position within the company if it’s been less than a year? I know generally you should wait a year to apply but this role is not working for me at all. I want to go back to a similar role I was in before and willing to take a pay cut. Any thoughts or experience you could share would be helpful.
Internal hiring policy change - no title or pay increase until the following year?
This is regarding the new People Team internal hiring policy: So if you apply to and get accepted into a new role that comes with a title change and salary increase, it doesn’t take effect until the FOLLOWING YEAR!! What is the logic here? We’ll just keep doing a harder job with more responsibility for the same pay?
The people who are internally marketable are also externally marketable. So much for retaining our high performers!
Internal movement rating
Citi should not block someone to move out when a 4 rating is intentional.
Any Success With Intetnal Hiring?
Are any internal departments actively filling positions?
What’s best way to move internally??
Do you guys use the internal movement site? To find roles faster within fiserv? I think I want to move to banking instead of IT but it’s getting complicated online. Confused
Reapply for role
For those who are affected by, do we have the option to find an internal role within the company? Or is this it?
Internal re-hired recently - can be potential RIF?
internal hired(moved) B6 within 1 month could be RIF-candidate, or considered relatively safe in new team as changed role?
Internal move
Should you tell your manager that you have incoming interview with other team?
Why Even Post Jobs If They’re Already Filled Internally?
I’ve been working for Nike on and off for about five years now as an ETW. Ironically, with all the recent layoffs, this has actually been the closest thing to career stability I’ve had, especially since the industry I came from is falling apart and jobs are becoming scarcer and more competitive.
Over the years I’ve interviewed for several FTW positions across different departments. Each time I’d make it to the final round, only to see the role go to someone internal, usually another ETW or an FTW already in the department. It’s frustrating because it feels like applying for a job you were never really in the running for.
Lately I’ve noticed a ton of internal promotions popping up, especially in the last couple of weeks, but none of those positions were ever posted publicly. Is it a myth that positions that are essentially promotions have to be open to the public to apply?
Eligibility for internal jobs after layoff?
Are laid off employees still eligible for internal jobs? If theyhave been selected for the loop interview prior to layoff?
Can internal hires negotiate pay increase?
Hearing conflicting things. So if I make a lateral move (same pay grade) could I move in the range and get a raise. I only get the standard 2% raise per year and am below the midpoint by now. I just want to negotiate to be at mid is this impossible???
Number of Internal Job Application
I see it is encouraged to limit the number of internal job application to 5. Anyone knows what will happen if I am applying for more than 5 positions at the same time?
Internal Bs External Job Postings
I have noticed a lot of internal positions available opposed to external positions. Anyone have any insight on this? Is there a hiring freeze for external candidates? Also this pertains to US candidates
