how long were you there before you were laid off?
less than a year would be crazy
Laying off Canadians while bringing foreigners to replace
Makes sense right? Indians, Malaysians, and mo----------g Americans. Expats and temporary. I bet their visa application indicates “specialized” roles no one in the company can perform. No sh•t, the company laid them off to maximize money laundering and siphoning billing to overseas.
Is it 30000 net new layoffs? Or 16000 to complete 14000?
Layoffs in May too, right?
Now that's layoffship in 2026!
Rationally, I know I should want to survive the coming layoffs
It's brutally hard to find another job. I've been trying for a while and can attest to that. With most of us constantly on the brink of financial ruin and costs only rising, the fear is real. But this time, I'm not anxious about losing my job. I'm just exhausted and completely burnt out. It's probably time to move on, and if they cut the cord, it would almost make it easier.
Getting laid off might be a relief
I'd be happy to finally put this sh-t show in the rearview mirror.
Last week was brutal
And with such a bad outlook, who can guarantee the rest of us are "safe" until the second half of February? I’m so sorry for the people affected last week, and I expect many of us will soon join that army of the unemployed. This has been really tough on all of us, and there’s no end in sight. These days, coming into work just feels like sitting in a waiting room for your own layoff.
Why do I have a feeling this won't stop at distribution?
They lost any maneuvering room to show results besides cuts a long time ago. At this stage, we're in a managed decline, an effort to maximize profits for the top and shareholders for as long as possible.

Any US Cellular retail store impacts?
layoffs/store closures if anyone’s aware? I hear traffic is non existent
Platform X ghost
I see that ex boss of platform X is still in the company after catastrophic failure of her product. At the same time, 200 of hard working people from PX build team were fired. The captain should go down with the ship, but this rat escaped first and now attending conferences across the globe to sell thin air.
medicare is dead
layoffs coming
CMS just advised flat rate increases .09% ouch
Unh stock is getting crushed right before earnings. Layoffs are going to skyrocket even more here. Brutal
every. single. year.
pepsico lays off every year. every. dang. year. at some point they’ll have to cut the overlaid matrix orgs — especially any group with “global” in the name. but this probably isn’t that year. there are still plenty of white-collar u.s. jobs that can be cut and re-assigned to india and mexico.
pepsico is dangerously close to a real brain drain in the american market. most analysts and lower-level management are now abroad — and, frankly, wholly inept — which means there’s no street-level understanding of the u.s. market. you could definately blame christy jacoby and brent crombie for that mess, whether they’ll ever recieve accountability or not.
What do you think are the main reasons?
There seem to be layoffs spreading across the financial services.... especially asset management and custody space (State Street, Fidelity, BlackRock, Vanguard, Schwab, Citi, Morgan Stanley). I’m curious whether this is mostly cyclical or tied to longer-term structural shifts. What do you think are the main reasons?

Teton Valley Health Care Cuts Staff, Closes Infusion Clinic (Driggs, Idaho)
Teton Valley Health Care laid off 26 employees and will close its infusion clinic. The critical access hospital faces significant financial losses due to Medicaid cuts and reduced patient volumes. The infusion clinic provides vital, often life-saving, care for many patients. High-cost medications are not reimbursed for 12 months, creating cash flow problems. TVHC is actively seeking long-term solutions, including potential partnerships with larger health systems.

At least, no layoffs at MMWB
MMWB Inc. Helps Firms Prevent Layoffs Via System Fixes

Major US Job Cuts: Major US Metros See Significant Unemployment Rate Increases
The U.S. unemployment rate reached 4.6% by December 2025. Total layoffs for 2025 surpassed one million, marking the highest number since 2020. Artificial intelligence adoption and company restructuring contributed to these widespread job cuts. Additionally, Department of Government Efficiency cuts led to 300,000 layoffs. Twelve major metropolitan areas experienced significant unemployment rate increases between July 2024 and July 2025.

Marketing Layoffs
Just heard about the reductions over in Marketing. They sent out a new org chart, which I got to see just now. They are getting rid of a lot of senior manager and up, and are expanding offshore support. Anywhere I’ve ever worked that started relying heavily on offshore, has paid the price eventually. If you work at TIAA and are getting a high salary, be very wary. Any of us could be next. Luckily, I’m underpaid for my role so they’ll keep my indentured servitude around for a little longer I bet.
When is RRP payout?
With 2/19 layoffs, wondering if those impacted will receive RRP?

US initial jobless claims rose slightly to 200,000 last week. This figure, for the week ended January 17, indicates a labor market with limited layoffs. The four-week moving average of new applications fell to a two-year low of 201,500. Continuing claims also dropped to 1.85 million, the lowest since November. Federal Reserve officials are widely expected to maintain current interest rates next week.

Be magenta!
Does anyone even buy anything on Be Magenta!? Like what’s the point? For one, everything is expensive, also, why would I want to buy any T-Mobile related merch and get lay off the next day. What? Use my $80 T-Mobile hoody as a pijama and make myself feel worse by looking at the logo of the company who didn’t care about me?
Suspended due to non pay
I work in inside sales, the amount of calls I get from people being suspended due to non pay is at an unprecedented amount. It’s totally unreal.
Couple with the current market being one of the worst sales markets in the last 25 years. They still expect us to exceed quota when literally nobody has any money and everyone’s phones are being shut uff lol.
How long do you give it?
Until CS fails in china.
Are we done? Or just starting?
It’s really hard to work and focus without looking over our shoulders now and waiting for what’s next. I’m in the Katz org and allegedly this is “our” week but when? Gates are down today as of now in B1 but I can’t keep working with this anxiety. They need to get this over with.
Severance packages are being scaled back in favor of terminations
In 2026 WF is moving the cost of severance packages to the line of business. LOBs are not funded for this cost and will instead force terminations through low performance reviews. Displacements will be delayed as each LOB works through this process. This is so sad, many good people will be forced out due to 'low performance' who truly deserve a package.
SC + Tech impacts announced
Read the message. Workforce reduction incoming fast. I bet announcing now so recognize the layoffs in current fiscal. No waiting long on this one. Good vibes to all
Which org/Leader is doing layoffs this week?
Or- who is done and who is outstanding?
Sending an employee survey is so tone deaf
Sending an employee survey the day after massive layoffs is so tone deaf and par for this company. No point in even filling them out as it’s obvious senior leaders don’t care.
If your director suddenly cancelled morning meetings your org is in the cut line.
If your director cancelled morning meetings today your org is in the receiving end of the layoffs.
I drank the Kool-Aid for too long.
For years, T-Mobile’s all-hands meetings were a masterclass in celebration: employees were praised for the company’s success, urged to give themselves applause, and reminded to work even harder. Yet behind the fanfare, priorities were shifting. After the Sprint merger, leadership focused on maximizing revenue per user, raising prices, and adding fees to hit short-term financial targets and pad executive bonuses. The company’s disruptor identity eroded, and now, massive layoffs hit the very employees who had been lauded as the source of T-Mobile’s success—while top executives collected millions. The contrast between the celebrated “people-first” message and the reality of corporate priorities could not be starker. I wish luck to you su-kers left. Enjoy the Kool-aid.
Results are not improving
How worried should we be about more layoffs?
Federal layoffs continue
Nearly 10,000 federal public servants have been told in the past week that their jobs may disappear as the federal government accelerates its multi‑year push to shrink the public service, according to three public-sector unions, who are raising alarms about the impact on front‑line services and specialized scientific roles.
