Does FIS use user tracking software to monitor our activity. I’ve noticed recently that my manager has been messaging me more frequently when it is a slow day. Really makes it hard to enjoy working here.

Generally speaking, most O&G companies are a mess. Changes to work from home; limited to no longer available, chaotic environments, and inconsistent leadership. I've worked at a few, and each one felt like its own kind of circus.

Occidental Petroleum in talks to sell OxyChem chemical unit for at least $10 billion

Because if the target is saving 2B from laying off, the math doesn’t seem to jive. Lets say avg employees salary+benefits etc is $300k/yr/person, which is a reasonably high est for avg, laying off 3k will only amount to 0.9B. How could they target to save 2B and said estimated 2-3k employees?

Need some help. I was part of the RIF earlier this month. Given WARN, my last day is Nov 3. However, I got the equipment return box this week. Am I supposed to return the equipment now (within 5 days) or wait until Nov 3rd ? heard this same story a few times now. A buddy in Digital said they told mgrs about hospital stuff, got promised support, but when cuts came the scoring didn’t take anything in to account. And in BRG, some chatter sounded the same. Then there was a yammer post too, almost word for word. feels like ADA is just surface decoration here, looks good on paper but doesn’t change how people get treated. anyone else seen it. wouldn’t be first time bp gave support in name only?

It’s impossible to function normally when we don’t know what’s coming. Our livelihoods are on the line, and it’s a real a--hole move from leadership to keep us completely in the dark.
