I am getting some unclear information on whether one can get unemployment if taking this severance. A lot of policies for unemployment state that if one voluntarily leaves, they may be ineligible for unemployment.

With all the layoffs yesterday why was there no WARN letter sent out?

Is it because most of the layoffs were remote workers so there were not enough layoffs at one particular location to meet the WARN eligibility threshold?

I only see the severance package being offered to VPs and below. Is there any sort of similar options for SVPs and above? Or would they have to leave without a package if the RTO doesn't work for them? Just curious.

So the company is going to can all remote only positions and won’t hire for any in future? Even if you are not anywhere near an office? Or is RTO only for hybrid workers and remote being removed for them?

I was offered a severance package of 2 weeks per year of service. Was wondering if anyone had successfully negotiated more weeks per service and if there was any way they would match the 401k for this year.
