I've only been here for a few months, and a fantastic opportunity at another firm just landed in my lap. With this job market, I know how lucky I am, especially since this is a role I've wanted for years. While my current job is fine, it doesn't compare to this new offer. How bad would it look if I left so soon after joining? Especially long-term on my resume?

Does anyone know where Sandy went? Fired or resigned?
(may have been covered here but) Brian Sweeny is gone as of last month.

I'm putting in my resignation on Monday because this just isn't the right place for me anymore. I've watched the direction change, and I don't see a future for myself here. Add to that the toll the toxicity is taking on my mental health and I've had enough. I'm going to take some time to figure out my next step. Luckily, I have enough savings to be able to do this. I have been with Nike for a bit longer than 2 years. If I recall correctly, the rolling layoffs started just 3 months after I arrived at Nike! Since then, I have lost so many senior colleagues including a 10-year veteran , 18-year veteran and some one with 8 years at Nike. A handful of them also resigned.... I am constantly worried for my job security and if I have a job tomorrow. I am breadwinner with a mortgage....I don't know how much I could keep it together

Closing out the year with a bunch of resignations that look like GoGo house cleanning. Heads of IR, Strategy and Comms -Gov Affairs are all gone. It’s not whose tellin the story. It’s the story!!! Even chuckles can’t spin this

After 10 years with UHC I finally called it quits over a month ago. It's been the most relieving feeling I have ever felt, seriously no lie! The constant changes, being chastised by a big headed manager who did not take accountability for her own faults, and exceeding expectations on MAP review but never reaping the benefits from it. The job that I am at now I make 1.20 less an hour but still make more, make it make sense...where was all my money going. Also my health insurance is so much cheaper and better, I never understood that? Run don't walk if you can, find something that works better for you and your family and also better for you financially.

I feel like I haven't seen this many execs decide to step down with no announcement of a new position somewhere else. If these were retirements, would they be announced as retirements? Or would they say "stepping down" and "spend time with my family" and keep retirement under wraps? Has this many step downs happened at HP before.

I’m ready for it to be over. Knocking out new code this morning. Expected to finish projects, migration, and do hand off. Just friggin fire me at this point. 3 more weeks…

Many have commented about Maurice failing as a leader. Like a coach who losses games YOU get fired NOT the team! He needs to watch Xmas vacation on how he affects many who trully care about their work and don't have the luxury of $40,000,000 + per year paid to fail!
Maurice do what Japenese leaders do and cut your salary and costs or resign before Many suffer from your failures that are innocent!!!

I've handed in my notice because I found a new role. I know I got really, really lucky in this job market. It couldn't have come sooner, since I truly can't take the unhealthy atmosphere here any longer. I’m really going to miss working with a lot of people here, and I genuinely hope every one of you finds something better and gets out of all this stress sooner rather than later. Do you get a portion of it? Also.... what about the other way around? If a teammate leaves before May, does their portion of bonus money get split amongst the rest of the team at the manager's discretion?

Did you know Noelle Eder, the architect of HIH, sold nearly 10,000 shares of CIGNA stock in March when it was around $300/share? On April 3rd hundreds were laid off. She resigned on April 22.

I have an offer from a company and they're asking me to drop my papers and then forward the resignation mail to them for confirmation (my previous job asked me to do this as well)
I initially thought I'd see if I'm getting laid off, since dropping my papers now means no STI, so instead, severance could help me make up for that loss.
But now I am thinking that's a bad idea, and that I should resign and serve my notice period.

If you give notice but your last day runs through date bonus would be receive would you still receive your bonus...Or do you have to wait to give notice until after bonus is received as giving notice would disqualify you?

So the day has come and gone. And I’m sure the goal post will also be moved. Everyone’s wear Monday morning. The senior directors will know. Then commenters I know it’s in the afternoon or close of business. Well, the time is coming to pass. Tomorrow apparently we were supposed to see mass resignation emails. I’m sure that goal plus will also be moved. Can any senior director confirm if they’ve gotten notice?

If you resign and are going to a direct competitor, as a C15/16- does Citi generally make you work your notice period, or puts you on garden leave? Or does this vary case by case? Asking for a friend.

Say you worked under an incredibly ignorant and overly confident VP who wrecked your department and in an attempt to help fix things, you find yourself a target and eventually resign after receiving unethical orders.

B. How can one find out?
C. Can it be challenged?

Will my experience certificate mention this anywhere? Will the other companies find out I got RIF'ed via background checks? Or will I be asked to drop my papers, and it'll look like I resigned?

Has anyone ever put in their 2 weeks notice & got terminated that same day or before your last day? I’m contemplating on if I should. This is NOT a company I would ever come back to either.

I’m out. I’m a financial advisor in the cac. I feel like they have made me shove my nose up a moose an-s. I am heritage Bb&T and really thought we had something good. I am still mad about Tim and furious about Murdock (again. Seriously, the best guy in the company). I’m out. We are dropping like flies. This place is cr-p. I will say no more. It’s just bad from top down. I am out.

My stomach was doing backflips the whole time, even though I know walking away is the right call. Sometimes quitting feels even harder than staying in a miserable job, but I can already feel the weight lifting. Goodbye PepsiCo, I truly wish I’d never known you.

If someone works as a call center rep, and plans to leave. Is there any legal repercussion for quitting in the middle of a team meeting with immediate notice? This person would never make the mistake of working for another securities firm again.

The quitting would involve letters written in crayon for professionalism for the entire team, a short speech that encourages others to leave before they waste any more of their lives underpaid by the firm working for yahoo manager that "fight the patriarchy", emails timed for the meeting to be sent to the manager, managers manager, and HR (to ensure the manager cannot lie about the details of leaving), and an immediate turning in of their equipment.

Is there any way for the firm to fine a customer service specialist for this? Also has anyone heard of the firm closing personal accounts of reps in retaliation for leaving the firm?

Looking for feedback from any other brave souls who have left the pit of mediocre Johnsonville, or anyone who has seen others leave suddenly. Much appreciated. Losing the remainder of a paycheck would not bother this person, markets pay well enough to offset that. The bonus is also not big enough to matter. Giving 2 weeks notice is far more courtesy than this black hole deserves.

This person likes the idea of emailing a resignation to the entire firm. But it's too much work to manually make those email lists so...nevermind that.

I accepted relocation rather than the minuscule severance (only 4 years of service). In the (hypothetical) situation where I may have accepted relocation under false pretenses in order to guarantee my bonus and a few extra months of paychecks, would my health benefits end on my last day of work (after resignation, 2 weeks notice) or until the end of the month?

For everyone that has left and are happy elsewhere, where do you go to?

I truly hope Roundel leadership takes accountability for how this situation has been handled. As employees, we look for comfort, feedback, and — most importantly — transparency from our leaders. The continued silence and lack of communication leading up to Tuesday have been disappointing and disheartening. In times like this, openness and honesty are what build trust and show respect for the people who make this organization what it is. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case, and it’s left many of us feeling embarrassed and let down. I ask do better be better and just resign.

Sure, the market is horrendous, but I have enough saved up and my health matters more. I’ll be free to apply to jobs and network in peace, and able to focus on what matters in my life. As a salaried employee I feel like I am making less this year. I understand the 27 paychecks but if I choose to leave the company does that mean the company jipped me some of my pay?

Ranked in the top 5 of employers in all the major magazines? That sh-t was all over circuit…posters…guess they aren’t publishing those numbers any more. Andy is rolling in his grave. Took a little time, but I found something in two months, better pay, normal work hours. No more 9pm task forces 7 days a week. 6am factory passdown, that you then go have to repeat in 4 other meetings before noon. Go to work, do my job, and go home. At Intel work-life balance just means If Intel isn’t your entire life, you don’t get to work there.

So fu--ing sad.
