Has this been confirmed?

At the last town hall they said layoffs were done and we had the right people in the right places. But more people were rif'd last week. Not sure what to believe.

Here is the thread for today’s WF town hall. This is the place for employees to air their concerns and talk about the elephant in the room, real issues we as employees are facing and none of this amateurish soft ball questions nonsense!

I’m still trying to unpack that strange farewell town hall Cordani threw for himself.

How could neither DC nor BE acknowledge the layoffs that happened less than 1 week prior to this event and that are still ongoing?

I don’t even know what I expect from this conversation. I think I just need to know that everyone else thinks it was eff’d up and awesomely tone deaf.

As the title shows what are we as employees and contractors going to ask for? the sky should be the limit given the last one many thumbed up the nasty coffee in the west,

I was one of those laid off last year. After years of declining mental health due to RTO, micromanaging, and “doing more with less,” I was freed. Getting that morning 1:1 was terrible. But almost immediately, I felt relief. Every day since, I have continued to feel overwhelming relief.

I don’t make as much money as I used to. I’m taking a break before I move into another corporate gig, if I ever do at all. I’m working for a small company now. One that really does feel like family, and does really care. But I chose a job that I’m passionate about, and I don’t even care about the pay cut for now. I kept my cost of living low and everything else fell into place.

I am so grateful to never have to sit through another hour-long slog of lies about how we’re becoming more efficient through some indeterminate means, or how AI is going to save us, or how we do totally care about our coworkers and clients. Sixty minutes of nothing, every time. I don’t think I could have written a single bullet of content gleaned from those Town Halls if I tried. It would have been less offensive if they just told me they loathed me.

I keep checking in on these threads. My heart breaks for those who haven’t been released. They are putting you through psychological torture. They know what they’re doing. You are livestock to them. I’m so sorry. My thoughts are with those who remain. Polish up those resumes, and I truly wish you all the best. An ISP with a fat severance is probably the happiest ending you can hope for at this point.

Felt a bit unserious.

Did everyone get the all employee Townhall invite ? My colleague did not. Does it mean she is in trouble ?

Will there be any meaningful updates about potential layoffs coming out of the March 12th town hall? Given recent comments from Block’s CEO regarding layoffs, and with payday falling on the 13th, the timing raises some questions about whether any announcements might follow.

I feel like there isn’t any real insider knowledge on this page, but let’s give a go. Anyone know what the tour in first week of April will be for? With everything going on, I believe it’s potentially to bring in a new business.

I'm loving this employee-generated content and it will be really interesting to see what kind of sales impact she will have. The growth in number of followers and all the enthusiasm for Staples in her post comments is exciting to witness.

It’s been a few months. What’s the verdict on the new GM?

The only takeaway for me was the OE moment. Basically somebody executed some script that ran up a $4m bill in a day. That seems like a fire-able offense. Which id--t did this and that’s one expensive OE moment.

Oh and also a very long winded meeting where every manager talked about how they’re going to do AI, except half of our talent have already quit, with more of them coming next month after the bonus check clears.

I guess the answer is more EY.

Each time they say AI or India, take a sip. Too bad it's a webcast, would be funny to all give a "wow" emoji reaction each time.

Rumor has it, there will be a significant announcement at EIP Townhall.

When will the organisational structure for lower levels be announced.
Waiting 7 weeks at this stage since the ccs sale went through.

Good luck folks! Hope everyone finds work quickly. They got a good handful of us this am In IT. Brutal hit for our teams. Decisions were made after the town hall in dec. But if you got a invite this afternoon thats prob good news. The cuts were already made this am.

A new meeting is on my calendar for an SMB town hall on Friday.
