Don’t think that hard work, good reviews, or even being chummy with your manager will save you. You’re a number on a spreadsheet. If you make more than your coworkers, well, bye bye. If you don’t want to be caught with your pants down, you better... — read more
Great people let go?
Seeing posts about great people being let go. Who were they? Were they actually good or just a friendly person? Looking for any themes for who gets cut
Any layoffs today?
Nothing where I’m at. But there have been a lot of rumors about more coming on Monday. I know we’re in this for the long haul, but I’d really like to know whether we’ll at least be left alone until the holidays are over.
So this means Steven is next CEO ?
I guess anything is better than Ramon. Or ram. Just gotta outlast whatever time it takes for them to kick RL to the curb.
Failing Upwards again!
With her lack of clear leadership and strategy as well as her focus on outsourcing any and all jobs she can to those who "defer to others" when making decisions it was only a matter of time. I for one congratulate Athena for failing upwards once... — read more
Rams emails today are as clear as mud to the field teams
After months of secrecy, the first thing we can expect from Ram is transparency. HA HA. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me!

Reorg and more work
Every time we go thru these reorganization of markets and job, All they do is run lean and assign more work to their employees who are already overworked, stretched thin and under paid. They never give any more compensation for the extra work... — read more
Extra work
That’s all we can hope for in the coming months, while they pick us off one by one. I’m not investing any extra time or effort anymore. Did it do any good for the people who were just laid off? No, of course not. Many of those who were cut were... — read more
I’m a survivor
I detest my job. I work 60-hour weeks without any benefits. Perhaps if I work harder, they’ll take care of me?
Many in IT impacted?
Hi All, Based in the EU so haven't heard too much yet. Have many of my IT colleagues been impacted? No doubt, we're next - i think people are just hanging in for their cheque, horrible place to work now.
I wish it was me
I'm honestly low-key sad I wasn't laid off. I don't relish not having a job, but I look forward even less to staying here and having to deal with this company's cr-p and more never-ending cuts. I swear, layoffs sound like a better option. At least... — read more
Reorg Thoughts
This reorg was handled so poorly. From the way it was announced to some really hardworking and talented people who ended up losing their roles. PepsiCo made it clear you are only a number, there was no effort to condense the workforce through... — read more
The quiet part of the recent layoffs
These workforce cuts are creating a deeper problem that isn't being discussed. We haven't been attracting top-tier talent for a long time because the word is out about how things work here. By letting some of our most capable people go and filling... — read more
Re-org at Strategy & Transformation. Head of UX Design dismissed!
Head of UX Design at Strategy & Transformation was dismissed this week. Role terminated immediately. He clearly won’t be missed considering his reputation and poor legacy. What other senior roles at S&T were impacted this week?
Foodservice/away from home cuts?
Any cuts in away from home commercial org? Or is that pending the GTM and supply chain stuff mentioned in the new release? If so that will happen end of next year?
A word of caution
After the last round of cuts, anyone who picks up all the extra slack is just setting themselves up for more trouble. I'm sticking strictly to my contracted hours and focusing on my core tasks. If our overall output drops, that's a direct reflection... — read more
My heart goes out to everyone affected
Especially those already going through tough stretches in life. This happened at the worst possible time of year, and now people are heading into a brutal job market. Judging by the rumors, many of us may still end up joining our departing colleagues... — read more
Exhausted and broken and safe, for now.
I'm in my mid-30s, at around L9-L11 level, working in the field (sales/operations). Throughout my career, I've mostly received 3s and 4s on performance reviews and have relocated a few times for the company. I'm recently married and planning to start... — read more
Reorgs
For what it’s worth, I’m a retired PEP guy who unfortunately had to participate in a few layoffs. In the five or six major ones I went through I can NEVER recall looking at specific salaries or ranges. You normally were just given a target, and... — read more
Has anybody been laid off today?
Now that the week is over, I'm just trying to figure out how long exactly it took to wrap things up. Just to be better prepared for the future.
Nobody is safe anymore
A coworker who got laid off is one of the best people we had. He always got perfect reviews and everyone respected him. If they can just let someone like that go, then it's clear that none of our jobs are secure. That reality is hard to ignore.
The great job shift, short term wins with long term consequences
With jobs moving to Mexico and India at lightning speed, I'm sure companies like PepsiCo have a solid plan to ensure US consumers can still afford their products. I mean, who needs a thriving middle class, right? Guess we'll just have to rely on... — read more
Radio silent
It seems that this reorg was mainly corporate. Very little in the field (sorry to those impacted). It went from building consolidation, massive layoffs etc to very few. If this is the end FOR NOW they should announce that.
Should I aspire to finish my 10 year career at PepsiCo?
When I started here, most of my mentors told me this was a great place—pensions, growth potential, the works. Now, everyone who's still left is straight-up telling me to GTFO. The plan seems to be constant reductions. What used to happen every few... — read more

Long Overdue
The restructuring this week forced on PEP by Elliot was a long time coming. I was in the market today and Lay's PC was 42 cents per ounce and the HEB label was 28 cents. PEP is charging almost a 50% premium for a product that is no better than HEB... — read more

I guess it’s time to ramp up the job search
If it’s true that we’re heading into a phase of rolling layoffs lasting through the end of February, then the chances of losing a job go up significantly. The earlier you double down on your search, the better your odds of landing at least one offer... — read more

Most cuts appear to be through
From what I can tell, the majority of the cuts seems to be behind us now, and the only ones left are probably those they never managed to get in touch with during the opening stretch (out sick, vacation, or whatever). Everything at this point feels... — read more
Very poor Reorg handling
This has been the worst role out of a Reorg in company history. Many people still don’t know if they have a job!
Mostly older employees affected
Has anybody else noticed this? Not all, I know a few recent hires who were also laid off, but most of the people I know who were shown the door are at best in their late 40s and mostly in their 50s and above. I'm not surprised if the goal is to get... — read more

Can anyone confirm whether layoffs will drag on into Monday?
We know so little about what’s actually happening. The rumors are endless, and I’ve heard from several people that most cuts will wrap up by Friday, with a few lingering into Monday. But I honestly have no idea if that’s true.
Adrift under clueless Ramon, PEP now is like Kraft Heinz, not KO
In my 15 years at PEP they've been beating into my head that "we've got to beat KO". Well, look at PEP vs KO stock performance over the last 5 years. PEP has no strategy and schmucks like Elliott can boss it around and tell it what to do. What a... — read more
