Is Cigna doing this again Tomorrow or they won’t fire more people until next Thursday??? Please someone that knows let us know
They'll expect those of us left behind to work twice as hard
And yet, we know that loyalty is rewarded with a layoff sooner or later. I saw some truly great people let go, and I have zero motivation left. What’s the point?
What is cigna’s long term plan? Just keep laying off employees?
I’m really struggling to understand how the DEI leadership is handling these layoffs. Even after all these job cuts, if the stock price still doesn’t reach $400, what’s the backup plan? It’s disappointing to see a company that was once run so well... — read more
Severance package negotiations - possible?
Has anyone successfully negotiated a severance package? Is it pretty much set in stone or is there a wiggle room? If so, what are some things and steps which someone might take to negotiate for a better package?
Whoa, Cigna
Implementation got hit today. Got the dreaded ping this morning. Do they think that they will have AI up and running by October to handle peak? Will welcome calls be a thing of the past and handled by a chatbot? AI may be cheaper, but human... — read more
JOIN THE UNION
There are talks of Unionizing among American Workers at Cigna. Down with HIH . Thoughts?
Do we get our bonus?
If we were cut today do we still get our bonus?

Any layoffs updates?
JE/Severance
Any insight to how JE/severance will be communicated? I got the call this morning, but nothing in writing…
Tech support gutted
Saw this one coming. 13 or so people gutted from eviCore IT Technical Support. Watch those positions open up at HIH in the next couple hours.
Recruitment ads
While the company is doing rounds of job eliminations a few of us were asked to give input into new recruitment ads. Absolute madness.
Laid off at 54
Gave this place 18 years. That’s the thank you I got. Loyalty means sh-t these days.

What happens when a manager is impacted?
Does HR or someone higher up communicate that news to you?
Curious, anyone now hoping for je?
At this point I find myself surprisingly hoping to be on this je list, and wonder how many others have gotten here? I wasn’t feeling this way and know it’s a bad market apparently but some severance and time to pull myself out of the anxiety I now... — read more
Starts today
I already got my invite with upper management - a 1on1 invite that has never happened before. In Evernorth IT side.
After tomorrow, what happens for remaining employees?
Are we safe for a month? Two months? The rest of the year? I’ll admit that I have been very unmotivated to do any work the last few weeks. The rest of my year will probably be the same if I make past tomorrow.
Cigna Global
Anyone here from CGHB that knows if we are getting hit Tomorrow? US based employees are scared, they hired Indian people for every position so basically they already have our replacements, I wonder if we will be all Job eliminated or what??
JE Notification Process
I have never been through this before, and am wondering how they notify people of JE. Does an email invite for an HR group meeting go out? Does your direct supervisor tell you? How are you informed of your severance package? My team and I are so... — read more
I left Cigna in 2017. It was the right move.
You are nothing more to any company than a line on a spreadsheet. They look at the cost of keeping you as an employee versus the cost of dumping you. A company accountant ran an algorythm on a speadsheet and you are choosen. You may have has a less... — read more
Any updates about 2/19?
Is tomorrow really happening? Anyone know what depts may be on the chopping block? I know it might be inevitable, but w/ my wife's cancer treatment it's even more stressful.
TECDP PIP
Anybody know of any situations where a contractor or TECDP got hit with a PIP, or was unable to post-out of their role. Seems to be a huge concern as a lot of the class is trying to get post-outs and are struggling, with some having to leave... — read more
Definitely not looking forward to the aftermath
If I survive this wave, all I can hope for is more work, more stress, and definitely more chaos. Nothing to look forward to but holding onto this awful job for as long as possible. I'm demoralized to the point of being both numb and depressed. I... — read more
Non Compete

JE decision
If there’s a manager, or HR… or whoever that knows this please, who is making the decision of who is eliminated from their team? Does this come randomly by HR or does manager have a say on who leaves?
Morale in the gutter
On my team especially after 1/29 layoffs. Anyone else?
I doubt David C would ever lead like this.
I saw this post earlier and thought it was worth to share here. When Nintendo faced disappointing sales during the Wii U era, the company’s leadership made an unusual decision. Instead of reducing staff, then, president Satoru Iwata voluntarily cut... — read more

Layoffs are brutal and not just a news

Layoff checklist
Can anyone share a practical checklist for right after getting cut? What documents do you need? What should you sign or not sign? I want to be prepared.
Remember when Cigna was good?
There was a time I was proud to work here. Cigna used to appreciate its employees. Somewhere along the line that changed, and it's never going back. I miss the way things used to be.
The most insulting way to lay people off
Getting laid off is like a bad performance everyone pretends is respectful. They read a script, hide behind wording, shove legal paperwork at you, and act like they care. Then they'll turn around and refill the same role like nothing happened most... — read more

Layoff with PIP
I just got a PIP. Given the current state of the company and the layoffs, would you think I will be axed at the end of the improvement period?
All Team Meeting is scheduled earlier than usual
The All Team invite is for early March. Usually it's around 4/20. Is this a planned morale band-aid after more layoffs 2/26, are they preparing to announce something, or am I reading too much into everything for JE signs...
