Next Round May or Jun or Both
This is the time of the year. May or Jun.
May 7th is the day that, put it on your calender!
SD just told me that on May 7th there will be a RIF and it will be 10% across all markets and bands, AI driven. I will be out on sort term for 60 days and wanted to know if I will have a job to come back to. My SD said I am good but their will be a 10% RIF on May 7th and a few co-workers might not make it so not to be alarmed when I come back. Good luck all, and May the force be with you all!
No meetings today
No emails, no notable departures, and now most thinking about it into next week. Poorly executed already. At least last year was done the next day. Typical step backwards.
So 10% in May, with more coming in the second half?
Some outlets are reporting 20% or more in total for 2026.
Layoffs stretching on for weeks?
I've heard that rumor one too many times. After all this preparation, couldn't they just rip the bandage off in a day or two? Why leave us hanging for weeks? Haven't we had enough stress already?
May notifications?
Hearing a rumor that there will be layoffs and notifications beginning the first week of May. Any truth?
Timing of leadership timing
Why did it take so long to officially announce Omar’s departure? Jeff has been in the role since February.
FL cuts end of April
Florida will have cuts at the end of this month in a certain team. They just want all the work finished first, then May 1 there will be a 5 min outlook invite.
Another Thursday and?
So here we are thursday and what nothing? I mean there is one more next week but still.

2026 Layoffs Announed
March is odd timing to communicate as well.
When is the next round happening?
Looks like the February layoffs are complete & a reorg being announced this week in the TH. Any reliable info on if we’ll see another round of layoffs in 2026? Timing? What’s everyone hearing?
Any chance the rumor about layoffs on the 19th has some truth to it?
I haven't heard or noticed anything unusual. Which doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. Not that I'd be surprised if it's real.
Merit Delay
Anyone else find it sus that merit got delayed to 2/16? That aligns with multiple reports of layoffs on 2/16. People on my team are hearing the managers are going to deliver severance papers instead of merit to those who are being let go. Normally I don’t listen to rumor but the dates are lining up and leaders are very quiet lately and I think they’re avoiding having to talk to us. Everything was so rush-rush before OE but they’re silent now. Then we get an email that a bunch of people got forcefully moved and were supposed to work hard and feel safe?
So 2/12 and 2/26 are supposed to be massive layoffs?
Is that what we're looking at? Media reports mention 2,000 total. We all know they lay off on non-pay weeks. Apparently, it should all be wrapped up by the end of February. If it's true, tomorrow is going to get really bad. Oh well. Not like I expected anything better.
