We are Cengage
MH: "We are evolving our corporate brand from Cengage Group to Cengage"
RIP Frito-Lay
Looks like Ramon is making all locations take down signage that says Frito-Lay to rebrand as PepsiCo Foods. He took our profits, might as well take our identity!
Ramon doesn’t need more branding, he needs a therapist.
Rebranding excercise
Initially, the rebranding news struck me as a desperate move. However, if the new logo is a shift from the iconic Sabre red to black or graphite, it makes some sense. It is either a bold gamble or a deliberate move to align with Google branding. This is especially plausible if there are plans for deep integration into the Google ecosystem. Imagine booking flights directly through Google Maps powered by Sabre. In that context, a minimalist tech focused visual identity is not just a facelift, it is a strategic fit.
Am I wrong thinking this?
I wanted to ask for some clarification regarding the recent changes in Teams and the organizational view. Previously, it clearly showed the team I’ve worked with consistently, but now when I look at my organization, it lists many different names I’m not familiar with. I understand that organizational structures can evolve, but the sudden change without context feels confusing. Can someone please explain what these updates reflect and whether they indicate a shift in team alignment, reporting structure, or workflow? I believe transparency helps everyone stay informed and aligned, and I would appreciate any insight you can provide.

Did anyone relocate with only T’s salary sacrificing your spouse’s job? How are your families dealing with this huge change, knowing T’s job is still vulnerable?

This is all getting so old. Good luck everyone.
I don't know about a layoff of the general employee population, but
I think we'll see leadership changes soon.

Meta Reduces Reality Labs Staff, Prioritizes Wearables Development
https://www.storyboard18.com/brand-marketing/meta-cuts-1500-jobs-as-cfo-susan-li-signals-reality-labs-pivot-towards-wearables-88694.htm
Meta announced 1,500 job cuts, primarily within its Reality Labs division. The company is reassessing its long-term virtual reality and metaverse investments. CFO Susan Li stated Reality Labs spending will now focus more on wearables. This shift includes shutting down VR gaming studios and cancelling content initiatives. Wearables, especially smart glasses, have shown stronger market demand for Meta.
Possible Changes Incoming and Other Thoughts
Last week CMS proposed a Medicare Advantage increase of 0.09% - basically nothing compared to the 2025 3.7% increase - all in the face of increasing medical costs, significant turbulence, and troubles in the industry. I would not be surprised if we see restructuring in the coming months and possible layoffs..
My perspective: leadership is WAY out of touch to handle these tough coming years, and like always - they will collect their golden parachutes while making significant changes that are unguided by long-term perspective and experience in the business - impacting employees and our products. They would rather rely on their hubris than ask a senior employee working in the trenches their opinion about a change. They will try to cut costs by decreasing product offerings and cut critical resources impacting member experience leading to a long term hit to the business, all while we should be doing the opposite to increase market share. The Spendables fiasco was a disaster, CM / PHCO has what measurable impact? , the Quality team is doing what to reduce medical costs? It is unfortunate that instead of hiring for leadership positions internally, they would rather go outside of the organization and bring someone new in..
Overall I am trying to remain hopeful for Centene - but when we stray away from the mission which is supposed to guide us and improve profits, our short term thinking will do the opposite. I'll end with this: AI is not our future, our employees and our members are.
Is DSD is a thing of the past?
Will the Club model rule the future?

https://pulse2.com/opentext-names-ayman-antoun-as-ceo/amp/
OpenText announced its board has appointed Ayman Antoun as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board, effective April 20, 2026, positioning the veteran technology executive to lead the company’s next phase of cloud modernization and enterprise AI-focused growth.
Antoun brings more than three decades of operating and transformation experience across global technology organizations. OpenText highlighted his tenure at IBM, where he most recently served as President of IBM Americas from 2020 to 2023, overseeing the company’s largest regional business across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. OpenText said his leadership at IBM included driving advancements spanning cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cognitive solutions, and digital modernization. Antoun also previously served as President of IBM Canada and General Manager, Global Technology Services, and spent time in telecom as Senior Vice President of Business Market Sales at Bell Canada from 2013 to 2015.
Antoun will succeed James McGourlay, who has been serving as interim CEO. OpenText said McGourlay will remain in the interim role through the transition and then move into a role within the company’s Executive Leadership Team. The company also said P. Thomas Jenkins, currently Executive Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer, will return to the role of Chair of the Board following the CEO transition.
OpenText’s board described the appointment as the outcome of a thorough CEO search process aligned to the company’s strategy and leadership needs, emphasizing Antoun’s experience with large-scale modernization efforts and his relationships across public and private sectors. Antoun, in comments released by the company, pointed to OpenText’s product portfolio and global client base as advantages as organizations place greater importance on trusted data for AI and business operations.
Antoun holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Executive program in financial analysis, business management and strategic planning. He currently serves on the boards of TD Bank and CAE.

Seelan APAC leader gone…..thoughts?
APAC has had the reputation of toxicity for some time. Is this a complete change of guard we should be looking for? Is there light at the end of the tunnel for some of us, regardless what is going on globally. Keen to hear everyone’s perspective
I'm paralyzed by indecision
I know I should leave. Everything points to it. I have an open invitation at a friend's startup. But I'm stuck, unable to take the first step. I hate that I'm choosing to be miserable because I'm too scared to make a change. Dell is the only thing I've known for so long. I know many who feel the same way. It's almost like some weird type of Stockholm Syndrome at this point.
New Head of Sales
Head of Sales is retiring. Replacement was quietly hired a few weeks ago. I’d expect sweeping changes and reduction to the sales org by mid year
Dealer Service
They shifted field service in several upper Midwest states to dealers last year. I'm hearing that they are about to do this same thing in a number of additional states. Does anybody know anything for sure?
Open Mic today
I had a conflict and missed the Open Mic, I assumed they would send out a recoding but after that last email it seems likely they will not. Can anyone share what was spoken about? Are there more changes coming?
UM Centralization
As a long time UMAC, I can truly say since this centralization my mental health has taken a sharp decline! The new processes that change every 15 minutes, it’s just too much!
IF THEY WANT PEOPLE TO RETIRE
Change the retirement % to age chart.
62 = 100%
61 = 90%
60 = 85%
59 = 80%
IF THE COMPANY WOULD CHANGE THIS EMPLOYEES COULD RETIRE SOONER.
Community Relations Changes?
I heard there might be changes to community relations and related outreach.
I work with that group but have been off on a leave.
Have there been any changes? Same leadership or new?
