I was part of the RIF on thursday. What are things in must do list before my last day and what are things i can do to optimize my package.

How much time before will I get meeting invitation?
From whom will I get the invitation?
Will I loose access to teams and email instantly?
Any insights on how should I predict I will be laid off with near 90% accuracy.

Has anyone left Fiserv and had to pay back the cash bonus because tenure hasn't been met? How does that work?

Anybody knows why Kara Long was shown the door? The announcement was pretty short. Left to pursue other opportunities, good luck. That’s it. No “retirement”, no flattery about her illustrious career.

Saw someone on LinkedIn posted the best message I’ve seen. No s-b story, no anger, no how bad it’s going to be without them, etc. Instead a message on helping pick others up, laugh, smile, etc. Reflection wasn’t self promoting of all their accomplishments but instead centered around being touched personally by those who reached out.

Can’t remember their name because not a contact but the most real and human way to navigate. The self promoting, company bashing, or s-b story posts are all too common.

This is very different than another tech person post who basically said “I’m so amazing don’t even ask me to waste time writing my achievements on a resume. I’ll just tell them to you if you want to talk.”

Are you expected to work the two weeks notice or not? I start a new job in a week, but I don't want to not give notice if I can avoid it. Not that I'd want to return to Staples, but you never know what might happen, so I'd like not to burn any bridges if possible.

I live in a state that no longer has a hub, I cannot move, so I am unable to get a claims job, since claims is hybrid my job was approved for the exit program, almost 20 years with this company Im losing my job.. its a very odd feeling to be in this position as im sure it is with so many others. I was a very loyal employee and this is how my job ends. Its quite sad.. defeated doesnt even discribe how i feel...

Just got off a call where Project Phoenix will be implemented- first in back office functions previously outsourced to India, PR, etc. Next will be the sales force. Strange that optimizing internal processes are the first targets instead of improving the state relationship but here we are. You will see me exit Gainwell soon. Multiple members of Belk’s top brass are quietly and quickly planning an exit strategy from the company. Some choosing to stay in the retail industry, while others choosing the leave the industry altogether. Retirement is a viable option for some. Know that business model of belk is antiquated and unsustainable.

Layoffs have taken place already this morning. I got a text message from someone that they and another person in the SR office were let go.

Wondering how many are planning to cut ties this time around or just waiting for the inevitable ax to fall with layoffs

What's the worst think that can happen? You get to leave the company that's been treating you like cr-p, underpaying you, stunting your career progress, and not only that, you get paid to walk away. I don't see the downside.

And I have to say, I'm looking forward to watching what happens next. Not in a mean way. Well maybe a little. They mistreated me for years and seeing them struggle, make bad decisions, slowly fall apart, it will be enjoyable after everything they put me through.

I was just told that Rick Fleisher and Anne-Marie Pepi left suddenly yesterday. No word if it was voluntary or not. Anyone know why?

Is it better to resign or be terminated? Looking at the angle of payments and how quickly you can exit the kingdom.

Few JPM employees said that managers are asking employees if they want an exit package. Wondering if this is selective or company wide?

Can anyone comment on what, if any, is Alcon's "package" for employees who they would like to, or decide to, get rid of? Not people impacted by a structured RIF or layoff like we just had. Just those "one off" exits that happen all year long.

That could be PIP'd and fired, or outright fired for performance (not cause). Or "encouraged" to leave: can the employee "negotiate" an exit?

I have nothing lined up on the outside, but it's such a relief.

Last day today at AT&T - Got my boss fired after filing a complaint 6 months ago. Called AT&T’s hotline , filed a complaint, provided proof of harassment and discrimination and teammates who witnessed it helped out also. Recorded every teams call with an external phone and provided all recordings to HR investigation team.

Leaving the company with a 6 figure payout. Entire org is toxic!!

I know the conventional wisdom is to wait it out and force the company to pay you in severance. But, they'll try to deny it to you by every means they have. You just have to ask yourself one question. Is it worth it?

You'll be faced with a ticking clock of the severance checks stopping while you job hunt. No getting away from that.

Just start looking now and taking interviews with sick days or doctor's appointments and then just...leave. No two weeks' notice. No exit interview. Just tell them you quit and walk out. You don't owe them anything at all.

You'll feel great! You'll be leaving this lousy job and starting new one. No better feeling in the world. Better than waiting around in the stress test lab wondering when your number is up.

They are actively trying to exploit you in every conceivable way.

Just. Leave. Now.
