I have heard some people already know that they are being let go. Has everyone being laid off been told? I just want to understand the timeline and process. The uncertainty is so distracting.
Are there any actual discussions at the manager or director level regarding the specific people on the layoff list?
I’m curious if they actually compare everyone's skills, experience, and output before the list is finalized, or if it’s all just decided at the discretion of senior management.
Those w/ a last day of 09/04, have you received your severance agreement?
I’m sure this changes month-to-month or year-to-year. But, do people leaders have awareness to layoffs or are they just as caught off guard? Please provide your experiences.
Verizon’s had rolling layoffs through 2026 (~16,600+ cuts). One round did target 20% of management roles — later waves leaned more toward staff/HQ jobs. No one’s to blame — just cost-cutting waves.
I joined in 2021 and lost my position 2025 due to a layoff. I came from State Farm. I regret leaving for more money. Has there been a point of time where T-Mobile was even stable. I'm embarrassed to even have this company name on my CV anymore.
Any suggestions out there? Let’s use this thread
The San Diego Housing Commission has reduced its workforce by 14% due to financial challenges. This decision involved eliminating vacant positions and dismissing 32 staff members in February. Agency leadership cited federal funding shifts and local budget uncertainties as primary reasons for the cuts. Despite cost-saving measures, the commission faces declining resources while demand for services increases. The agency aims to maintain essential services for current clients despite these constraints.

Sarah just sent a company email at that Drew Asher is leaving at the end of the year….anddddd discuss.
An indoor farming company has announced it will close its South Side facility and lay off 166 employees. The company's planned acquisition fell through unexpectedly, leading to the decision to cease operations. This closure impacts a significant number of workers, including produce packers and machine operators. The facility had been operational since 2024, utilizing advanced technology for water conservation. The company is now winding down its operations nationwide.

What are the next planned round of layoffs? No speculation please but someone in the know please do tell.
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is warning of potential job cuts and service reductions. Mayor Jacob Frey's proposed 2027 budget is $3.1 million less than requested. This shortfall could lead to 26 layoffs and impact recreation centers and park maintenance. The Park Board will discuss the budget proposal on Wednesday.

just a rant: kind of difficult to take in that we could potentially be laid off. A bit harder to take in especially since I joined 5 months ago as an early career new grad. Had to move across the country without relocation assistance only to be on the chopping block. wish they would rip the bandaid off already.
i know it's a stressful time for everyone given their own situations, I don't want to make it seem all about me! I hope the best for all of us! Welcome to the corporate world moment for me, lol
Anyone know what happens to employees who didn’t qualify for VSP because they have less than two years of service? Are they basically safe for now, or just not being considered until the next RIF round?
Looking to strike a more positive note on what is in our control....
And most importantly take care of yourself
If you have any other positive suggestions please do add them to help everyone through this difficult phase
For those of us who have 2027 seperation dates, thoughts on the company revisiting those and pushing them up? On my team we have May and August dates. I want to think the PL who pinned these dates had to provide some sort of staggered timeline and may be revised. I know wishful thinking! This place is so toxic and I don't think I will make it till then.
For positions who were laid off (not VSP) there’s over a 3 week period we’re still employed. Are people attending meetings and continuing to participate as usual during this period? Curious how others are handling expectations around work and meetings during the transition including supervision calls?
Any one who has been previously laid off willing to share what the redundnacy package was? Did they pay 2,3,4, weeks per year? Etc ? I know the packages may be different globally, but trying to gage what the package is likely to look like?
Does anyone know when the next layoff is scheduled or if there is any expected timeline for the next round? Any confirmed information or official communication would be appreciated.
Central Admixture Pharmacy Services (CAPS) will close its Phoenix facility. This closure will result in the layoff of 116 employees. Benefits end this month. Will Verizon say anything?
I heard more layoffs in NYC this week.
I think we are close to reaching a tipping point. For those who leave, be sure to encourage and pull anyone who is good with you after you leave.
I'm only 3 weeks of waiting at this point, but I see folks have been waiting since May and still haven't received it or any word from NetApp. How can we organize and get this in front of some financial reporters?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A former Wells Fargo executive is suing the company, alleging discrimination.
Robert Propst, who served as a senior vice president at Wells Fargo, filed the federal lawsuit in Charlotte. Propst alleges company leaders marginalized him due to his vision impairment and because the majority of the employees who worked under him were Black.
The lawsuit claims the treatment of Propst and his team "changed dramatically" after a 2022 reorganization. Propst says his supervisor refused to meet with his team despite visiting Charlotte regularly and often questioned the value of their work. Propst contends his efforts to address the concerns were met with retaliation rather than support.
Propst claims his supervisor repeatedly pressured him to abandon his approved remote-work accommodation and return to the office. He says the supervisor scrutinized his attendance through badge-tracking reports even though he was exempt due to his remote status.
Propst, who worked for Wells Fargo and its predecessor companies for over 30 years, says his supervisor repeatedly made comments about his age, claiming the remarks were part of a broader effort to force him into an early retirement.
The lawsuit seeks more than $1 million in damages.
I’m sorry but does BB leadership really think making the severance 4 months instead of 2 months is a big carrot? Not too mention, it’s obvious that an employee’s term of employment doesn’t factor into anything. Whether you’ve been there 1 year, 10 years or 20+ years, it doesn’t factor into their perceived value of your service. So it shouldn’t shock anyone that their number of years working there doesn’t apply to any severance in this “enhanced” offer. I’m curious if anyone will comment that they’re going to sign up to be evaluated for this. Which is a whole other gut punch. Imagine signing up for this and BB says you don’t qualify because they already pay you so low that it would cost them more to replace you. NOT because of your knowledge mind you. Only because a replacement would cost them more to do the same job.
I heard that after next month's big layoff each first level will have at least 35 direct reports under them.
As expected & rumored
Any layoff so far those two weeks?
Remote employee, I was called into another meeting and presented with “great news” that where I once was going to be let go at the end of the 3rd quarter 2026, I am now in the next wave which will be Q1 2027
This is probably the forth or the fifth time over 5-6 years I had been told to prepare for displacement only have it explained, that I am being rewarded in some way because my job has been preserved for another few months.
I was long overdue for a promotion which they have now flat out told me will not happen because I am going to be displaced. So I am doing the same job function if not more work than people titled more senior than me and being paid less.
I feel like a contractor, trapped and just wished they would let me go instead of thinking that kicking the can down the road every six months should somehow make me feel inspired.
So how does that work exactly ? Are you given a choice? Rebadge or quit / rebadge vs leave with severance ? I always thought it was the former, ie- no real choice. How long do you stay employed at new company? what happens after that term ( regarding severance, unemployment etc )
I have always worked under the assumption that getting laid off was better than getting rebadged. Is that accurate ?
In this episode of is it true or not. Several individuals have stated that the latest news is IF you are in Columbus,GA you can choose to relocate to OH or Georgia.
I was reading the agreement and it basically says you are waiving any rights to sue the company. And if you find another job they will stop the PIP.
Has anybody been able to negotiate different terms for this agreement?
After working for 30+ years, all you get is 3 months of salary at the cost of waiving broad rights? Ultrageous! This company should pay packages as every other company that does layoffs!
I got terminated at Centene. My performance was exceptional; I belonged to different groups and associations, participated in voluntary groups, helped and assisted other colleagues, completed trainings, and maintained exceptional metrics (more than 60 daily calls). I was truly a dedicated team member.
But I got laid off. I am now without a salary, debts are mounting, and I am going to lose my house and cannot pay utilities or my children's college tuition. I have completed around 120 resumes and applications and don't have any answers yet.
Thanks, Centene, for your support for your employees—the support that makes all of you richer every day with our efforts and work.
Would that work to not comply with new RTO and drag it out as long as possible till they terminate me or lay me off. Would this set me up for a possible layoff package and I could get unemployment benefits?
There were rumors that today was the day, but I haven't seen anything.
Now they're saying "by month end".
Any news?
Received an email from the out placement company about optional information sessions. It came from “Agreements” with subject “LHH Overview Session.” A very unassuming email, but has me extra vigilant now in monitoring my junk folder as I get closer to my separation date!
