I’m beyond burnt out. I literally can’t stand coming to work anymore. Three years here have felt like ten at other companies in terms of exhaustion, energy drain, toxicity, and the headspin from constant gaslighting. I just can’t do it anymore. I’d rather risk being jobless than keep going. I just hope they pick me for layoffs. If not, I’ll quit. Hats off to the veterans - how have you endured here for so long and stayed sane?

Finally landed an offer
It’s not bad, but it’s nothing special either. Still, after months of searching for alternatives, it feels like a win. And I really, really need to leave Dell behind. This past year has been something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Fingers crossed it works out. I’ll be keeping them crossed for all of you as well. May we all eventually liberate ourselves from the twisted parallel universe Dell has fallen into.
time to jump from the titanic
and jump on one of those little rafts way down below
Today is my last day
It was nice until it wasn't and seeing once great company sinking fast bcs of Stankey and his stupid decisions that ruined the culture is awful... one recommendation, if you could, try working elsewhere, ATT will su-k your soul and dreams.
Looking for some info on layoffs
I am only a few months into my time here, and it is already sinking in that layoffs might be part of the landscape here, which has me more on edge than I expected to be so early into a new role. I am trying to get a sense of whether this is something people constantly brace for or if it is one of those things that happens in waves and then quiets down for a long stretch. I would like to know whether I should settle in and feel secure or keep my guard up because of the way things have been going lately.
More layoffs in Q1........
Better start looking for another way out.
I've decided it's time for me to move on
After a lot of thinking, I've accepted an offer from a new company. It was tough, but the layoffs and lack of any real path forward here made the choice clearer. I'm really looking forward to a fresh start where I can actually focus on doing good work. I wish everyone the very best.
I'm getting so tired of constant layoffs
I'm at the point where I'd pay for a new job. Or take a major pay cut. Anything just to get out of here.
Are you looking?
Who still works at HQ and is actively looking for a new role outside of Target? Just hit the up arrow for yes and down arrow for no. Just curious on overall perception of Target right now.
Slaving to the last day?
Anyone else required to do handoff work all the way through the 19th? So much for giving us time to look for another job.
Seriously - when is the next layoff coming?
I am miserable in my new role, the new office environment, and the new (poor) attitude that seems to come from every senior manager. I'm planning to quit, but if the next layoff isn't too far off it may be smarter for me to wait. Does anyone have reliable information as to when the next one might be?
How do you all deal?
It is so heartbreaking reading these comments when is the next layoff, are we next?...this is honestly no way to live. Instead of being under the golden handcuffs...step outside your comfort zone and look for an alternative job! This is no way to live
Time to clean out your desk, or drop your car stock off at the office.
This is not getting better. Time to get out and cut your losses. Nothing is going to change for the better. They have had their chances to do this. Never happened.
At least over the Christmas / New Years holiday you have time to retool and reassess what you want to do.
There is no logical reason under the sun to stay here. Because sooner or later you will be affected and simply be a casualty of this industry.
Make the decision to leave, your decision not theirs. At least you get out with that decency.
Not the place to be guys. Times up totally. The writing has been on the walls for a long time. Sometimes it just takes someone to tell you to read what was written and understand it.
No gold medals for staying here. Just swift kick in the head with an iron boot.
PMP
Wrapped up my PMP review before submitting and the writing is on the wall: no promotions, and “exceeds” ratings are being restricted so tightly they’re basically unattainable. Add in the latest S&T message from the tantrum-thrower/demotivator himself, DM, and it’s pretty clear that career mobility at Chevron is dead for the foreseeable future.
Here’s the part that really gets me:
The people now sitting comfortably in higher roles and PSG levels are the same ones who climbed paths they’ve now completely demolished for everyone coming after them. The folks being lined up as “next in line” are being chosen based on experience tied to work that doesn’t even exist in the U.S. anymore. And the ones at the very top — secure in their ivory towers, swimming in cash like Scrooge McDuck — look down and tell everyone else to “work harder” while setting performance bars miles above anything they themselves ever met.
And before anyone says it: yes, I know — “If you don’t like it, leave.”
I’m working on it. I have interviews lined up. Chevron might still want me, but I’m not sure I want Chevron anymore
Verizon employees has 1000 days to get another job
Dan wants Ai displace Verizon employees within 1000 days per his comments on his all hands call. Time to jump off the sinking ship before then.
Layoffs and yet another $$$ tech VP
I'm trying to make sense of the mixed messages and bringing in another industry CIO like Paula Krantz in our current climate. The leadership of this company seems to burns money on shiny new hires but layoffs and hardly cost living raises are the table scraps fr the rest of us who put in the years building the backbone of the company. I know a couple people in another department who left for better pay at SSM and Express scripts. It is probably time to clean up the resume which is unfortunate.
Rams email
See Ram’s email? Rat’s are fleeing the sinking ship.
Will there be layoffs in Dec or Jan '26?
Has anyone heard if there will be layoffs in Dec '25 or in Jan '26?
I used to think I’d retire at Fido, but that dream evaporated fast
The constant reshuffles and unclear future make any retirement plan a joke. At this point I’m planning for options outside the company.
Everybody seems to know something huge is coming
A lot of people have quietly started looking at options, just in case. It feels weird, like preparing for something we shouldn’t have to. Still, better to be ready than caught off guard when things shift.
Has anybody else already started searching?
No matter what your end date is? I already sent out about 50 applications. I know some people are taking some time to recover, but I'm too scared to wait.
I'm expecting the next round
I'm just waiting for the news to drop. It's my default state of mind nowadays. How sad is that?
Don’t relax if you were skipped on Thursday
If you made it through this round, don’t just sit back. Do everything you can to line up other options. The job market is brutal right now, and the earlier you start, the better your chances. I’ve been searching for a while and actually got two offers. I turned them down because they weren’t great, but the point is, opportunities do show up. Taking things into your own hands can at least give you a little peace of mind.
How to know any one got impacted
Don’t want to hurt them or show off I survived.
Severance Package was Amazing
Been with the company almost 20 years and this is like hitting the lottery. My 401k is already enough to fund an early retirement, but the severance package was amazing! I'm not complaining! Plus we are getting full payout of vacation and STI.
I might look for another job, one that isn't stressful, or just call it quits after this.
get out of this company
nothing is waiting good for you here, dont do this to yourself again in 2026
Just got a text for an 11 am CST call
I’m a goner after 11 yrs (probably)! Nice knowing yall.
It was a pleasure, see you all in the job market
Hired out of college a year and a half ago, gone. Was a pleasure reading this forum with you all
Two teammates got invites
I got nothing so far. Should I take this as a sign I might make it? I don't see why they wouldn't send out invites for the entire team at once. Is anybody in a similar position?
What's happening?
Can somebody please explain to me why are people getting laid off already? I thought this was supposed to be one major round starting on Thursday, and I keep seeing mentions of this or that already being laid off - and I'm not talking about managers here. What's going on?
Kind of want to get the severance.
After all this i kind of want to get severance. It would be a nice chunk of money. Plus I can get a job pretty quick and get used to it while getting paid from verizon. I think I want to get severance now. I don't know if I want to stay with verizon long term like I thought I wanted after this. I think the culture is about to be toxic and I mean toxic as in nothing is ever going to be good enough.
I fu--ing HATE this cesspool
I regret the moment I decided to join QCOM. My health is getting worse every day I spend here.
Leaving is not a simple decision. I have been here for a year. Jumping ships would me look unemployable and the job market su-ks anyways.
I feel trapped.
Will you stay if you make it past this round?
These layoffs have been routine for 8 years. A lot of panic and anxiety on this board over the last week. Knowing you will face this in the future; if you make it through this round, are you going to search for another job or stick around?
Thinking of leaving?
Is anyone else thinking of finding a better opportunity else where if your still at Target?
These will be the longest three days of my life
I think they're doing this on purpose, since I'm this close to just quitting to avoid having to go through this mental anguish even for a day longer. I wouldn't be surprised if some people already broke and quit. This is all a part of their plan, I have zero doubts about that.
10/31/25
get out of this company ASAP
