Any thoughts on the town hall yesterday? Lots of teamwork and buckle up talk but nothing of substance.

It’s about time these fu--ing millionaires in the C-suite open up a town hall for real questions.

The town hall felt like the usual, with a few stand out moments. Plants legitimately asked how to get a req approved and filled faster and basically got an answer that EVP reviews weekly but other than that, we just don’t know! Also, having EVP say he’s not a process guy is frustrating- isn’t poor and cumbersome processes (tickets and self-serve apps that get you nowhere) a big part of the problem? That is probably the reason so much time is spent on calls and meetings and meaningless metrics. Joking about being EVP for a quarter means he outlasted the last guy was actually funny, but if exec levels turnover that fast, why wouldn’t employees? Don’t they quit bad managers before they quit bad companies? I guess we just need to be on site and that will fix things

To those posting positively about hiring and growth at OpenText on the threads here.

Please do a reality check on how things actually are here and across the industry. If you haven’t done your own research, ask around. Plenty of people will give you an honest picture.

If you know the reality and choose to ignore it, at least don’t mislead others. Stop posting overly optimistic takes about job openings or “returning to growth” when most people here see it differently.

From the recent all-hands and CEO town hall, many of us felt the leadership lacked ownership and accountability. Questions were deflected to the ELT, and there was no clear stand on strategy, growth, or revenue only focus on personal incentives.

The concern is real: without change, OpenText risks hurting both its financials and its people.

If you disagree, back it up with facts. Otherwise, it’s time to face reality.

Thoughts on the s and t townhall?

During the Q2 Town Hall, a question was asked about our strategy to replace commodity IT roles with external partners.

The answer was that we're moving to more of a factory model of labor, and we're going to reduce the need to have specialized 3M knowledge.

Between that and the other half of the town hall being about how we need to scale up our use of AI, it's clear that they're looking to reduce headcount.

What you guys think?

Hot Mess town hall today. Will he paint the org all rosy, as if we should be happy to be working under him? Will he conveniently skip over his big project to outsource all?

I could have sworn Sirini said point blank “layoffs are done for the year” at the last town hall a couple weeks back. Yet here we are with another big wave this past week. What gives?

Very odd it’s not in May, think they’re cooking the books with the layoffs to make the numbers look good? New CEO announcement? New RTO policy?

They have been completely useless for years now. Try to remember the last time we learned something useful from a town hall. I can't and I doubt anybody else can. Just ignore them. They're nothing but a waste of time.

What a bunch of douch bags on that broadcast. How about a few of them get the shaft and why was the girl on the end so shiny? She looked plastic.

Even though you're doing more work, more hours, more roles and the load of three others, you don't deserve a raise because Vz is so much more efficient and has better tools than ever before?

Why is it so difficult engage with the executive during the town hall? So much skirting around. Just get straight to the point.

Anyone else remember when Ricky got up on stage at that 2025 end-of-year townhall to proclaim that we would be getting COLAs on top of our merit raises in 2026? It's been nothing but radio silence since then, share prices are down 13% YTD, and we're shifting into cost-cutting mode— the writing is on the wall, and we're not getting that COLA, but we all know Ricky and the EC will sure as he-l be making out like bandits with their equity comp.

How was the town hall? Did anyone have the guts to ask a real question or were they all softballs?

Personally, I so appreciate hearing about our strategy from some dude who has only been here for six months.

Why didn't JF use this global event to give DF a proper send off this morning?

I and all of Model e and Skunkworks are disappointed DF wasn't properly recognized. In fact, the only mention of DF was in the chat. Missed opportunity indeed.

Three words. What a mess!

We witnessed our leaders in a dark room with bad lighting. There were sound issues that went on the entire meeting that was giving me a headache.

Our senior leaders talked for 30 minutes about what food they like. The last 30 minutes were a blur of non sense. They all looked like they hate each other and have not exercised in 15 years.

I walked away feeling d-mber for having used my time to attend that meeting. Thank you.

Town hall meetings coming over for Monday at optum health. I guess to address the sla-ghter and tell the survivers to do more with less! 🤑

A few years back gfs offered retirement package to employee of age >55 + 10 yrs service or >60 age + 5 yrs. HR head in townhall ever said she will prepare the detailed package and I heard people received the offer from HR. Is still available ?
