No offense to the people who are still here, many of them are just amazing, but in aggregate, top talent has already left Optum years ago

I might be out of a job right now, but being let go from that toxic dump was honestly a gift. The culture was so fake and draining. I'd rather struggle financially than ever go back to that atmosphere.

It's a wonder any of us can get any work done. It's unhealthy and ki-ls morale. If we had better leadership, they'd realize they're destroying the entire company like this.

Why is a man leading this call? All you can see is his face on the screen. He is controlling the dialogue and trying to relate to women’s experiences. So sad UHC and Optum. But typical of this company.

I’ve ventured out to look at my calendar once or twice on a weekend because I need to plan an appt or otherwise around work calendar and realize other people are online (managers/directors). Do they really work on weekends? And if so, why?

Word on the streets is that they’re going to be “restructuring” my department. Anybody on here have that happen to them? Just trying to prepare myself for anything.

has anyone had any luck with negotiating a severance agreement with optum? i was laid off while on protected leave, and the severance agreement is laughable.

Just curious as to many people within Genoa were affected by the layoffs. Seems as though training personnel were hit the hardest from what I’m hearing, but curious what other business lines were affected.
