tell me what they are doing
Supervision Control Center
Since nothing else works and they are more worried about what’s on this website? Will someone please let the leaders of P66 know that the supervisors in the control center or never at work and if they do show up it’s only for a couple hours at a time... — read more
CFO Comments
There have been a lot of comments about the CFO and CHRO of Phillips recently. I wanted to start a thread to consolidate views on these two as I have recently interviewed with both and considering a senior role at Phillips 66. Can you help me by... — read more
I was so bored so I passively interviewed
Within a month I got an offer with a 20% raise. I really didn't plan on leaving but I'm not wasting this opportunity. This is just to say that there are jobs out there, in case you were not applying thinking the job market had nothing to offer.
That Must Be a Record for Deletion
Earlier I posted about L and D. The post was up barely and hour before it was deleted. I don’t know why, I’ve made worse posts before that didn’t get deleted. I must’ve struck a nerve with someone!!!
PXAP missed a golden opportunity to merge?
TRGP soars and locks a 20-year deal with Exxon. Now Sandhills line may be their next target.
P66/Marathon deal likely facing antitrust
lack of standalone refiners
Just Move the Goalposts
An analyst somewhere says that Phillips 66 is in the wrong peer group. The analyst says that because of Midstream and Chemicals our peers should be Exxon, Chevron and other similarly integrated energy companies. If we did that we’d be outperforming... — read more
Propel soon to be $1 BILLION
Accrued $928 million and paying 10% interest per year on a base of $833 million.
We all should work

I like to win, these complaints are a joke
Q2 was a good quarter for all of us. I know I worked hard for these numbers and many others. Easy to lose that in a thread full of noise. Wanted to put something positive on the out here: the work is showing up in our numbers and winning feels good... — read more
Earnings
Well, PSX earnings were about what we all expected them to be: adequate but not blockbuster like VLO and MPC.
HSE
Anybody else hearing HSE is losing folks in Bartlesville?
Andr3z the Joke
Lots of discussion on here about the EVP of HR. Perhaps Mark made another bad hire?! Talk about a poor selector of talent.
L and D Messed Up
Where I work the L and D “leaders”at HQ messed up our operations training so badly that Operations had to take operations training back from HQ. Now the training is almost as good as it was prior to 2023. This is just one example of how Malformation... — read more
Is it really that bad?
Why are people still working for Phillips 66. No one is making any one of us to stay!
Feeling Guilty
I have to admit I’ve been feeling a little guilty about spending too much time day trading PSX and talking to recruiters for other companies. But then I heard about the ELT’s trip to Aspen and all the other cr-p that they pull. Nothing is too good... — read more
Dr-g Policy
What is the company’s policy on mari--ana? Do they still test HQ employees?
Untethered
I was listening to a podcast and the discussion was with a management consultant. I think they summed up the issue with Phillips 66 and this management team: “…the macro implications of a society that is maximizing profit is that it's going to be... — read more
Hello from Aspen
Hearing that our ELT had just returned from time away in Aspen together. While we never see them here in Houston and never take meetings off the executive-only floors, they apparently need fresh mountain air to recover from the rigors of their... — read more
Next round timing
Anyone have any idea when the next round of layoffs might start?
Made Up Positions
As I was browsing through LinkedIn today I couldn’t help but noticing how many P66 employees have what appear to be just made up positions. These are not necessarily highly paid positions but it does seem certain people are being “taken care of”. In... — read more
Now $105 Gap with MPC
Performance gap is widening. Investors don’t see value in the integrated strategy; reason: there is not an investor base for such a company. You have the majors and then focused companies in refining and midstream. No one buys PSX unless they have... — read more
Layoffs are not our biggest issue
Why are people getting fired lately for what I can only call bullsh-t reasons? Two folks I know have been kicked out in the last two months. I'm now starting to worry they've decided severance is too expensive and will be getting rid of us using... — read more
$100 Gap with MPC
I know, share price means nothing.
About that abrupt exit….
So what was the official reason for the CCO’s sudden teleportation out of the building?
It’s Been Quiet
It’s been pretty quiet at P66 lately. Is this the calm before the storm?
$90 Gap with MPC
But don’t sweat it. We are going to have a monster quarter I am sure. Will put all doubters to rest.
Midstream Updates
Does anyone have any insight on what is going on in Midstream! The uncertainty of where leadership is going to land and how that will affect the way that things are currently operating
If you're miserable here, don't stay
Just go. Layoffs are political and cost driven, not about how well you work. If management decides you cost too much and you're not in their circle, you're gone. That's reality. For technical people, staying too long makes your skills outdated and... — read more
I Read it so You Don’t Have to
I read the Annual Report this morning so none of you has to. It just repeats the same junk talking points that Go Go always spouts out. That 5 minutes I’ll never get back.
ELT Changes
Rumor has it that Refining and Commercial ELT members are on their way out. Lots of meetings taking place in commercial following the Q1 hole we dug for ourselves. Looks like Mandell will be the one to pay for it, with a “retirement.”
Take a job?
Should I leave a competitor to come work for P66? I currently have 8 years where I’m at now! The why……Currently unhappy with the politics and d-mb ranking system. I know every job has a downfall but unaware of how P66 operates!

I couldn't help but notice today
This lonely Phillips 66 station! Not a single car at the pumps or customers inside. Located across the street from a competing station with 4 times the amount of traffic. https://imgur.com/a/8w7MaHx Moral of this story, the P66 brand su-ks.
$85 Gap to MPC
M@rk, Kev, and Sean, You can go to all the conferences and spin the story how you want, but it is not working. Results speak louder than spin. Investors are not buying it.
