just heard from my coworker in another department (p+/VH's org) Wtf? Yes, they're all located in Los Angeles. Not hybrid, fully remote for anyone that starts their shift after 3pm.
Where is everyonev
I’m on the Paramount lot and it feels so empty. Did a lot of people decide to not RTO?
Can we pick another office?
Working in the city can be very expensive. I’d rather drive. Anyone else going to the Long Island facility? How many work out of there? Is there room for one more?
New year, same anxieties
Anyone else feeling super anxious to see how this RTO will play out? I almost feel nauseous with it all
Each day just adds to the confusion
I'm getting so tired of this. People are on edge because nobody knows what’s coming next, and that uncertainty is starting to show everywhere. Teams feel disconnected, communication keeps breaking down, and everyone’s spending more time speculating... — read more
3% Across the board?
Keep seeing everyone is getting 3% increase. I haven’t heard a peep from my manager about it. Does this mean we won’t get it, or should we still hold out hope?
Pay cut or RTO?
If you could continue WFH for a pay cut, would you do it? I'd be more than happy to accept such a trade, as long as the pay cut is reasonable.
Chiming in to wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy holidays
I hope not many of you see this post because you’re spending time with family and enjoying a relaxing few days. This past year has been tough, and I’m keeping those who lost their jobs in my thoughts. For the rest of us, I hope the coming year is... — read more
Phase 2 RTO
What is the latest with Phase 2 RTO and remote workers?
Promotion Pay Raises?
I received an end-of-year promotion but the % increase is barely larger than the typical merit raise. Anyone else in the same boat?
Still no sign of a Christmas bonus/pay increase.
Has anyone had theirs yet?
Some reassurance from DG fireside chat on rto p2
It's nice to finally hear that DG is trying to accommodate remote workers in thoughtful manner next year!
If sound decisions were being made in the C-suite, Bari Weiss would be top of the next layoff list
But we know that Nepo Davey didn't hire her to get viewers or prestige or advertisers; it was just to make "Uncle Donald" happy. It's pretty pathetic, though, when you can't even match the YTD rating in literally the lowest-rated slot on the entire... — read more
Final 4 week severance check is less than my usual checks
Was part of the layoff and got the minimum 4 weeks severance. My final paycheck was today but it was a few hundred short than usual. With my understanding I thought 4 weeks severance meant 2 full pay periods. Am I misunderstanding? This is how I... — read more

Promotions
Heard from my manager that promotions aren’t happening this round. Is that true?
Dinner with Larry, Zooms with Larry, but no, Larry's definitely not involved in the company's decision making!!
Ah yes, I remember all those times Bob Bakish had his father come to business dinners to talk about mergers, or had him hop on Zoom calls with advisors. It's totally a normal thing for CEOs to have their daddies help them with their jobs. From THR... — read more

I had heard that there would be more layoffs this week. Does anyone know if that is true or what day it would happen?
Hostile Bid in Progress

I’m the rare breed that would actually welcome RTO
Mostly because of special circumstances, which I know the vast majority don’t enjoy. I get that it would be a blow to most people. In my case, I’m close enough to the base that commuting isn’t an issue. One perk of coming back to the d-mb office? I... — read more
Any thoughts?
I get that losing the WB bid shouldn't technically touch us, but with this leadership I can't shake the feeling they'll react by doubling down on cost cutting and trimming more people than they originally meant to. Maybe it's paranoia, but when big... — read more

I don’t know about you, but I’m just worn out from all this cr-p
I can’t remember the last time we had a normal day at work, where people weren’t completely at their wit’s end. This past year and a half has felt like collective torture, and there’s still no end in sight.
Any chance they're going to get done with all the cuts this year?
I'd like to start next year being able to focus on my work (if I'm still here, of course). I have been half-productive since this whole thing started. It's not intentional, I just can't concentrate properly when all I can think about is if I'm next... — read more
Layoff on 12/3 before the tree lighting?
Is there any legs to the rumored layoff on 12/3 before the tree lighting?
It’s toxic here
Without going into too much detail, it’s been a disappointing journey. To come so far after a highly anticipated merger and to be here. Toxicity. Low morale. Same office politics. And a tough market.
They’re going to make RTO as painful as possible, aren’t they?
And push as many of us out as they can along the way. Anyone who thinks this is about anything other than maximizing profits by getting rid of people on the cheap is being naive.
Remote Work for uninitiated

RTO is not really about collaboration or bringing everyone together
The issue with big corporations is that they have a one-size fits all approach to their employees, which lets face it - it's the least effective model. The responses from this post is proof of this. Good companies, take the time to take a macro look... — read more
