So I’ve been hearing that we are no longer going to service independent stores ? Has anyone had this happened in their region ? Mostly Hispanic stores in my area that are considered d stores

I've been watching things deteriorate for a while now and it's very clear it's getting messier and more chaotic by the day. And I don't see it getting better any time soon. I think the best thing anyone can do is walk away. There's no future here.

Is that how notifications are going out?

I've been applying for two months and haven't heard back from anyone. Is this normal now? Things have really changed.

If you're smart, you should have been actively looking and applying for a job from the start of the year, if not sooner. No one is safe here, and I think that's been blatantly telegraphed for a while now. This is not the same company I joined 15 years ago, that's for sure.

The only silver lining is that severance seems to be staying as is. That's always been my biggest concern when layoffs happen.

I can't get worked up over rumors anymore. If official news comes, I'll deal with it. Until then, I'm not wasting my energy.

Any way to know how many are still left to be notified?

Can someone tell me why it takes the managers anywhere from three weeks to three months to approve pto?

Assigned to a location officially on RTO letter but chose Dallas instead. Will I get axed for moving to a location other than the RTO specified one? I feel like I will get axed for that but supervisor does not think so and yes I asked multiple times. Anyone in the same boat?

So I am a bit confused why would mass layoffs happen right before open enrollment? Who is going to handle that when 1) people voluntarily leave 2) people are still going to get laid off after that 3) I doubt Centene would get back 2 million members from this enrollment period.

Thoughts and prayers

I've seen multiple people placed on PIPs in the last six months. It's making me nervous. Is this just how things work here? Or is it a strategy to document people out the door so they don't get severance? I'd really like to know if I'm being paranoid or if this is a legitimate concern.

I wonder if there's anything the leadership thinks is truly essential.

In the last several layoffs, our team lost everybody above 50, and even two people in their late 40s. The rest of us are all here. I don't know if this is the case company-wide, but it certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. Really shows us there's no future for any of us here once we hit a certain age.

Dow is implementing global job reductions as part of its Transform to Overperform plan. These layoffs are now affecting employees in Midland, Michigan. Dow plans to reduce 4,500 global positions throughout 2026. The company has not disclosed specific numbers for Midland. The community feels uneasy about the potential local economic impact.

Why is it mostly us at Optum that have to worry about our jobs all the time? There are many GL 30 and 31 with no directs over at UHC, while at Optum GL29 has 15 directs. Seems they need an alignment.

Another 67 employees probably have zero job..

Why have these not been reported? The number of layoffs in 2026 alone are staggering but when done a handful at a time it just seems shady.

I've heard there are some teams and people with various BH licenses not being allowed to make calls and do their role "while they look into it". Supposedly someone noticed something and now they are questioning if they are even allowed to make the outreaches. The timing is fishy. Anyone else heard this or having the experience? I don't feel secure in my role at all.

After yesterday's 10% cut I can't help but think that all we are to this company are chickens saved at the sla-ghterhouse. We are good until the next round but at the end of the day we are still chickens.

Please be careful with how specific you are on here, especially about “inefficiencies” or even confusion in your areas. Some of the recent comments feel like fishing attempts by the people who are trying to cut staff.

Keep it general enough to stay safe.

Baystate Health recently implemented workforce reductions. These layoffs affected staff in 22 different departments. Longtime employees and information technology workers were impacted. The Massachusetts Nurses Association voiced concern about the job cuts. The union also has an ongoing contract disagreement with Baystate Health.

How sc--wed am I?

Some managers and dirs just do follow ups, just they pressure on developers to deliver data to meet deadlines. They didn't even know proper architecture, business, no proper direction to dev's and some even don't know basic git commands. I don't know how are they even surviving in this org.

I can’t believe these people are the leadership.

I’ve literally heard nothing about engine in my functions for months. Anyone have insight into it? Is it working? Or is it like agile, and we’ll just all forget it, and it’s associated magical thinking, ever happened?
