Many senior folks like SVP and above left in last few weeks. Even some resigned from Altair acquisition. Whenever sales people jump a boat there is a sign...I know a director they hired a year ago in EDA side and has left as well. What's going on? Any insight is helpful...

Hopefully a full pain or whatever the he-l his name is on the list. You know the guy who barges into meetings and takes credit for other peoples work without contributing zilch! Then again the almost 90% of upper management at verizon.

Thoma Bravo Acquisition Leads to Jeppesen ForeFlight Layoffs

Jeppesen ForeFlight employees recently experienced layoffs. This followed private-equity firm Thoma Bravo's acquisition of Boeing's Digital Aviation Solutions business. Boeing sold the business for $10.55 billion last November. Initial social media claims of 40-50% layoffs were deemed overstated by the company. Jeppesen ForeFlight stated these changes streamline operations and support product innovation.

I keep hearing that the reason this company does layoffs is to help the stock price. But since they never do a formal press release announcing the layoffs, how can layoffs possibly affect the stock? I thought the whole point of laying people off a little at a time was so that the public doesn't find out.

Anybody on H1B visa impacted in this round so far? In previous rounds, no visa folks were impacted, at least on the network org. Seems like company is harboring visa holders, Anybody else feel that way? H1B paperwork involves filling costs, lawyer fees etc. which is opex, If the goal is saving opex....

First week of February announcement of RVP and DPR position being eliminated. New role “Senior Operations Manager” to replace RVP/DPR. DM role will have average of 25 stores that reports to new SOM.
Front end and Pharmacy will be separated for DM and HCS.

Not your performance or dedication. Worse, actually. Being both skilled and experienced pushes you towards the top of the list, because quality is costly. Don't bother trying to prove yourself in the coming weeks, or doing extra work in an attempt to save your job. Definitely don't take being laid off personally. In this stage of corporate greed and extreme short-term thinking, it's more likely a badge of honor than a statement on your worth as an employee.

We were told we were a family. That this culture was different. It’s only a matter of time before you are deemed not efficient enough and they show you the door.

I had coworkers that have recently been on baby bonding leave, others that are in their early 60s and too young to take Social Security. Not efficient.

I’m so sick of it. Anyone with a VP title and making these decisions just cares about the stock price and their payout and making sure that they have enough. Last year alone our CEO sold over $40 million in stock, that’s on top of his salary. Oh and how many millions did the Ballroom donation cost T-Mobile? I guess they’re making up the difference now.

The only thing I think we can do is join together and unionize through CWA just like ATT and Verizon have done. We need better protections, more transparency, and a seat at the table when we can get it. I don’t know how we do this but I know I’m tired of being thankful that it wasn’t me that was let go this time around.

I was just checking out the Layoff board for UHC, and their last comment was like a month ago! Are Optum employees the only ones living with this whirlwind of layoffs? If so, I'll jump off of this nightmare cruise and head over there! Waiting to be laid off is so stressful...

The average age of employees grades 14-17 seems to have dropped by over 10 years since 2022 at least in Sekou’s org. Clearly driven by layoffs. We’ve seen what looks like blatant examples of age discrimination. Pushing an over 50 to a unique role, replacing with a 30 something, a year later eliminating the unique role. Thats pretty common. What’s the worst example you’ve seen of age discrimination?
