Every week another solid performer walks out due to the uncertainty and constant cuts. Anybody who has options is heading for the door. The brain drain is real, and I don't think leadership even sees it. Or they see it and don't care, instead they're celebrating the attrition without severance.

At this point, anything is better than working at DXC
Dishwasher. Call center rep. Fast food cashier. Literally anything sounds better than another day here.
And it's happening again
Losing experienced employees on account of outsourcing and bringing on cheaper recent grads who have no idea what they're doing. All the experience is getting kicked out and somehow they think this place will continue functioning in the same way. Spoiler alert, it will not and I'm almost glad I won't be here to see the consequences.
Negotiate VSP exit date
I'm a director who got approved with an exit date of December 2026. However, I was expecting to leave 9/4/26. We have a State audit in November so I understand why they extended my date. Any director or VP level tried or going to ask for an earlier exit date ? I am actively interviewing for my next role so I would love to accept the new role and get my severance. With all the company layoffs it's going to be harder to find a new role in December.
Ready for the next round?
Looks like it’s open season again.
Layoff Details
I’m hoping someone can be kind enough to tell me what is provided in the layoff package? Salary is for every 10k 2 weeks paid? (Been with USAA 7 years) ? But first, you get a 90 day notice? Benefits? I’d really appreciate it if anyone can give me the breakdown? And is it a lump sum or paid month over month? Thanks
Chances
Should we assume those who were NOT eligible for the vsp are safe?? Seems like the only ones affected are the ones with vsp offers?? I also assume that if we’re not laid off we will be dealing with the fault out. But im PCC so idk how IT, or any corporate roles would impact me
AT&T will be forced into more layoffs
Starlink is GLOBAL revenue and its subscriber numbers will continue to surpass T. There is ZERO chance that T's fiber investment will be able to compete. That is the hard truth and layoffs WILL continue. You can NOT compete with a global market after you spent decades outsourcing your labor and support to India. You need to get the word GLOBAL in your head when you think about subscriber potential . T is a has dying has been.

ISP dates?
I’ve seen a few people say they saw dates of 8/12-8/14 posted on the VSP faq page. I wasn’t eligible for VSP. My leadership said that they’re not aware of any dates nor details. Can someone confirm the VSP faq stating this or paste the Q and A?
Gaming Job Cuts Surge Past Projections
New data indicates a significant acceleration in video game industry layoffs, with job losses now predicted to reach nearly 14,300 by the end of 2026. This figure represents a substantial increase from earlier forecasts made by the ASGC Games Industry Layoffs Tracker. The pace of these reductions has outstripped initial modeling, with recent updates showing a rapid climb in projected redundancies. North America and Europe are the primary regions experiencing these workforce adjustments. The current year is on track to surpass the layoff numbers seen in 2024.

Pension Plan
I am a longer term employee who fears I may be part of the next round of layoffs and I’m not at retirement age yet. Several people on this site have mentioned a change to the pension plan for long term employees. Can anyone shed more light for those of us who may have experienced a change and not known it?

Fortune list decline... yet again...
Drive it into the ground, full stop until we hit rock bottom. Soon everyone is going to have to update their bios, taglines and all that jazz to Fortune 1000.
Someone better have some pixie dust handy and lots of pink slips to hand out to keep this ship afloat.
Round 2
The malignant claws of Oracle, Amazon, Workday and Salesforce have finally dug in deep enough and metastasized. It was inevitable but still very sad.
Layoff at Visa - Any more at MC?
Visa just announced 7% cut, is there more layoffs happening at MC?
Offshoring Medicare - just announced
Just had a department meeting, they are offshoring Medicare bus ops. made it sound like enough people took the VSP to offset lay offs but also said they didn’t know and it was above them. They claimed the VSP was a separate initiative from this and the “timing aligned” not sure how it aligned when this news could have made people choose the VSP. Not sure why they would wait to announce this after the VSP deadline. 13% of bus ops took the VSP they confirmed. Stated they were going to move people into new positions within the next few weeks which ironically aligns with the RIF date. Good luck everyone and congrats to those who accepted the VSP and it worked out.

Mandatory config meeting today
The audacity for management to tell us we are going to be training a vendor to do our jobs and in August they’ll decide if they want to keep us or not.
Retention Bonus
Centene should give all employees with an approved vsp + separation date beyond 9/4/26, a quarterly bonus for staying and still pay their full severance!
August RIF
No rumors yet. What's the dealio? Maybe we finally sidestep it for once.
Redundancies
The wait for redundancies is ki-ling me. Can they just hurry. This is soul destroying.
20 Billion Stock Buy Back
Charles Schwab sits on a mountain of cash and still can’t be bothered to pay its frontline people a living wage. CEO Rick Wurster talked about raising salaries because the cost of living keeps climbing… then quietly didn’t follow through this year. Meanwhile the company rolled out a fresh $20 billion stock buyback in July 2025 so shareholders and executives can keep getting richer.
CS&S workers and the rest of the frontline grind every single day under that pressure. But leadership still loves the corporate Kumbaya about “seeing through the customer’s eyes.” Funny how nobody ever has to see through the employee’s eyes while they’re drowning.
Job Market Unfreezing
Uh oh. Time to start applying for jobs again. I turned down offers in 2021/22 and regretted it. I’m not missing the boat this time. ATT is about to have a major problem with talent retention.

America’s biggest companies say they might need more people after all.
For months, major employers treated hiring as an expensive last resort. Now, a shift is emerging across industries.
Companies ranging from railroad giant CSX to Google parent Alphabet have told investors in recent days that they plan to hire to meet growth goals or to seize on emerging technologies.
The push to expand head count, at least modestly, is a reversal from the prevailing corporate messaging during much of the AI era.
Major employers largely held back on adding people due to economic uncertainties or a belief that artificial intelligence could shoulder more tasks on the job. But some executives say the costs and limitations of AI now demand that more people be added; others want to hire people back following layoffs.
R&D asked to cut heads
We are hearing Tara has been tasked to further reduce heads and after voluntary the target will be to consolidate duplication especially in teams that have merged eg MEA AND EUROPE. There can be some major changes at lower levels. This could re shape the whole thinking and way forward for this group. Profitable areas getting hit!
Proof is in pudding
Folks just look at how they have handled everything since June. The rhetoric they use, the moving of timelines, misleading information and that's not counting all the other shenanigans this company has pulled over last 3 to 5 yrs. They dont like us and it's obvious they wanted to see who was disgruntled here and to make themselves look better with investors. They have no intention of paying out all these VSP and understood that by doing this ppl would quit or be so mentally gone thst they start to struggle.
