Any layoffs with Medicare??
I’ve heard a lot of Marketplace but not Medicare.
Sept 8th
Thar she blows.
Enjoy your labor day weekend and even longer displacement period.
We just arent growing so we need to shrink some more. The last AI Agent running will shut down the bank.
Layoffs 8/11
Are layoffs still happening today?
VP infrastucture RIF
Our VP on infrastructure in BTS was let go yesterday. We have an all hands call this afternoon, I'm assuming to learn about a reorg.

Life360 Plans Return to Hiring After Recent Cuts
Weeks after reducing staff, Life360's chief executive is optimistic about future hiring. The company had previously scaled back recruitment efforts earlier in the year. This strategic move was intended to provide greater flexibility for future staffing needs. Now, the company anticipates a continued increase in its workforce over time.

H1B Fee increases
Even though the government has increased the H-1B fees, I bet Fiserv will still continue to renew people’s H-1Bs while not giving others their merit increases.
Ever meet a guy who picked Chevron over his marriage?
I have a few times. Worst cases of Chevron derangement syndrome, they usually had pretty mediocre jobs but were addicted to the power point lifestyle . I dont know what it is: a lack of confidence that they cant find a new job, too far Chevronized, maybe not actually into women….but it was so buzarre to me.
Imagine your ex wife going on dates with new dudes and your kids having to deal with that so you could clutch to a cr-ppy house and job in Houston, Midland or Bakersfield. Lol i guess that 401k match is nice
Sedgwick
Anyone go through the new reasonable accommodation remote work process with Sedgwick?
They have revamped the form specifically for BNY. This is going to lead to more lawsuits. The form basically implies they will not allow any remote accommodation.
This is still not the worst place to work
But it's certainly working hard to take that title. I give it another year or two of this direction and we'll have it.
WFR LAYOFFS TODAY
I heard MT Interfaces was impacted.
No idea where else in the company yet.
Water it down, we need the money!
https://www.reuters.com/legal/transactional/intel-launches-15-billion-share-sale-turnaround-rally-lifts-stock-2026-08-10/
Intel said on Monday it was planning to raise $15 billion through a share sale, as it looks to fund the costly build-out of its chip contract manufacturing business by cashing in on a stock surge fueled by its turnaround efforts.
Sell now and buy back later!
New York Fidelis
Anyone from NY Fidelis hear anything today?
Can somebody explain this to me?
They offered VSP. Then they turned down a fifth of people who said yes. Now they're laying folks off involuntarily. Why? Why didn't they just approve everybody who said yes?
The sad part is that there's no 'over' after today
In the past, layoffs were final. They took a day or two to let everybody know and after that we could refocus on our work. Now, even after this round is done, we know more will be coming. In a month, two, or six, but we all know it's coming. There's no reprieve anymore. Just constant stressing.
Promotions
I saw couple of promotion posts on LinkedIn, are they really promoting people ?
Can people whose VSPs were approved be laid off?
I'm not one of them, I'm just curious, since some got such distant final dates.
If you were RIF'd today, please provide STATE, LOB, DEPT.
If you were RIF'd today, please provide STATE, LOB, DEPT. plz & thank you. also, good luck out there
Done with stores
So are they done with stores, if not what’s the final number and time frame?
I've been RIF'd!
Got my message at 9am.
Layoffs started this morning!
Good luck everyone! I'm surprisingly not upset. I think it's because I always felt like we were triplicating work already done by bigger teams. Maybe I will feel some type of way later, but right now, it's just indifference.
It's LR week!
Who's hoping they are on the list?
Covid vaccines
With all the news coming out about Covid and the vaccines, any thoughts on a class action lawsuit against AT&T for mandating shots in order to return to work?
Any legacy DFS layoffs today (8/10)?
Checking on colleagues. All quiet in my area.
No meeting
Logged in this morning no meeting scheduled…..should i take that as a good sign im not getting cut?? I wasn’t eligible for the vsp
What happened with the return to office mandate in the UK?
I vaguely recall an RTO mandate going out not long after I left. What actually happened? I can't see them enforcing this when half of us were made remote through COVID
Stop outsourcing recruiting LM
LM has outsourced recruiting and it is the worst experience ever for qualified applicants. Here is the deal..you apply for a job like sales or claims. You get an email from a recruiter with a name that suggests they do not live in the US. You think, is this a scam? Decline the interview. After several rounds of this apply, get email from rando, you decide to check it out further. This is even worse. Your phone interview is with someone supposedly calling from Massachusettes, which they are not. They are in India or the Phillipines. They barely speak English. No nothing about sales or claims culture. And these people are the ones screening you and moving you on or not to the next step, which takes way longer than it should. Sad what recruiting for US companies has become. I will no longer apply at Liberty Mutual.
HP is on a steep downslide...
Face it everyone - HP does not have much of a future. It's a dinosaur company, nowhere near cutting edge, its recent announced products are neither inventive nor impressive, and the company is just treading water. Boise is dead and will be completely gone by end of 2027. HQ is a tomb. And CWs continue to get annual unpaid "furloughs".
HP's future is bleak.
When do you think hiring will be unfrozen for non-AI relevant roles?
That feeling when a return offer was within your grasp... and then taken away...
Fresh Round of RAs

Totally unacceptable
It is wrong to replace hardworking citizens with outside control. Someone should report to the department of labor to track the lay offs by the immigration status, nationality, number of contractors recruited, internal promotions by nationality etc.
It's sad that one of the prestigious bank in the USA is controlled by the outsiders.
Please report the fraudulent activities and unethical hiring practices to the government agencies.
Jersey and Bronx fired
Email sent out before 11am, meeting at 1130am and all of Jersey and Bronx level 1 and 2, and retail were let go due to company needs. What a joke.
Enjoy your August
It's going to be a rough fall season. I think they are on a mission to make this company very lean. That means going down to 6000 employees this year.
Best job EVER!
I love this job! Great pay and benefits, low stress and friendly co-workers. It is truly a dream come true!
IPO?
So....did they say anything about it? Didnt think so....It will never be spoken of again like it was never under any consideration. Funny that, isn't it?
long term prospects
jana being involved is a huge positive. these are the exact moves we need to make. let's all do a little more and get this back to $200 !!!
