potential layoff only 5 months after joining
just a rant: kind of difficult to take in that we could potentially be laid off. A bit harder to take in especially since I joined 5 months ago as an early career new grad. Had to move across the country without relocation assistance only to be on the chopping block. wish they would rip the bandaid off already.
i know it's a stressful time for everyone given their own situations, I don't want to make it seem all about me! I hope the best for all of us! Welcome to the corporate world moment for me, lol
Nextlayoff
Does anyone know when the next layoff is scheduled or if there is any expected timeline for the next round? Any confirmed information or official communication would be appreciated.
September cuts
Anybody hearing anything about supposed September cuts?
Spin off HMS?
Is Gainwell planning to split HMS back into a separate entity, and perhaps sell some or all of it? Service Now changes are being presented as "improving routing" but look more and more like "cut on dotted line".
Are layoffs going on (Aug 14 2026) ?
As expected & rumored
Any layoff or rebadge notices today 8/14?
There were rumors that today was the day, but I haven't seen anything.
Now they're saying "by month end".
Any news?
More to come??
So my supervisor posted something in our teams chat……definitely a script but no one in our department was getting laid off. However im seeing some chatter on fb and LinkedIn that there’s potentially more layoffs to come? Anyone else know anything or is this just bs?
BH
Has anyone from the behavior health teams been laid off?
More layoffs in August
Rumor mill says there'll be more cuts before the end of the month, has anybody heard anything concrete about it?
Info
Are they gonna at least let us know when this first round is over so we can stop stressing for at least a little bit till the 2nd round… this company is making me hate them w how they’re keeping us in the dark.
Optum Care at Home Care Navigators
Curious on the potential of layoff / any insight. I work for the Optum Care at Home - Care Navigator role. DSNP plan.
A lot of people quit this role and they are not re hiring - but have brought on plenty of Philippines staff.
I have always felt the role won’t stay on shore but im curious of any word or input
When will it happen?
Next week or the one after?
How to be part of the layoff?
Hi everyone! Been in seat for a couple of years in the sales side. I’ve been dreading work, and frankly want to be part of the layoffs. How can I position myself?
To the managers out there
Any managers care to share what gets communicated to them on cutting employees? Any of that happening in the near future?
Record earnings today - beat top and bottom numbers, yet $511m for reorg in Q4FY26
No announcements of layoffs during earnings call. Maybe Chuck post some internally, please share here. Any other LR or reorg news?
Are Behavioral and CHC Product being cleaned out?
The SVP in charge of BH, Product and Dental was just let go. This follows multiple senior leaders in Product and Dental being pushed out earlier this year. Is E.B.’s departure a sign of the next big wave of bloodshed? (Not that I think she was a big loss.)
Layoffs throughout the week
Will there be more layoffs the rest of the week or was that it for now?
4900 Layoffs?
I know the rumor mill runs strong, especially since there is zero transparency. read a comment here that said 4900 layoffs were this week.
But if "4 out of 5 Centeamers who will be leaving are part of the VSP", is true - that means what, almost 25,000 overall reduction in headcount?
there's no way this is right. if so, GOOD LORD.
Was today the last day?
Can we relax for now?
Did Cisco announce any layoff for today?
Cisco seems to have a quarterly layoff news every 3 months, how about today? Anyone knows? Thanks!
Level Up Confirmed > November
Confirmed at a Verizon Connect all hands by HR. Level up is coming in November.
So hopefully this means a slow down on the layoff front at least for a time.
Imagine working at a place where earnings calls are a good thing
I really hope everyone is able to leave this toxic af company. Can you imagine working somewhere where earnings calls are a place to celebrate the value the company has delivered? Every earnings call here, the more numb I’ve become to wondering when the next LR will hit.
Enrollment
Has anyone heard whether any Enrollment functions are being outsourced or moved to a third-party vendor as part of the current restructuring?
Looking at another 20,000 casualties in FY27
Like a year ago, except our financials have degraded, our credit rating is just above junk status, operational and capital expenditures are more than our free cash flow, and our stock price has cratered (20K is arguably too conservative).
8/12 Layoff Thread
More unfortunate news today?
Another Oracle layoff round is reportedly coming.....

Rumor of Dell layoffs from 6000 to 15000 people.
Go into linkedin and look up:
"Dell's rumored layoffs land on a workforce that never stopped shrinking"
The article talks about a rumored 6000 to 15000 people to be laid off. It's based on rumor and the rumor is that it will be concentrated in ISG Presales and Overlay Sales roles. According to the author, it may be confirmed in direction but not in scale.
If my team was already hit, are the rest of us safe?
My manager is MIA, so we never got an all-clear from him.
Information and Personal Data Check
I got the emails yesterday to confirm all of my personal information, emergency contacts and mailing address. I know they do this here and there, but it also seems like they have done this right before a big cut.
I have no basis for this - just my gut. I guess we'll see what happens. Either way, at least it'll be done and I can stop worrying - 15 years of this garbage and I've had enough.
Not sure I understand
I’ve seen the article and all the rumours, but there’s one thing I can’t reconcile. We have some actual history to compare this against:
• Last summer, Oracle filed WARN notices in Washington ahead of layoffs — including filings covering 161 employees in August and another 101 reported in September 2025.
• For the March 31/April 2026 cuts, Oracle again triggered WARN in at least some locations. Washington reported a WARN filing covering 491 employees. (Bizjournals)
Federal WARN generally requires 60 days’ advance notice
Business Insider is reporting another round of Oracle cuts planned for August, with some teams potentially facing double-digit percentage reductions.
I’m not seeing the WARN filings so thoroughly confused. I know that doesn’t mean layoffs aren’t happening.
How are the cuts structured so that we aren’t seeing WARN notices? Are they spread across enough U.S. locations that individual sites stay below WARN thresholds? Are a significant percentage outside the U.S.? Is timing being staggered? Or is the reported scale simply being overstated?
And I don’t think “it’s remote employees” automatically answers it.
That’s the piece I’m trying to understand. The lack of WARN activity seems off given what happened in spring & last year
no more layoffs ??
It’s been real quite. I want to say that we are safe… no more layoffs ??
Layoffs
Anyone hear if layoffs are happening in the October timeframe?
