I’m officially out of this hellhole in August and I just want to hear some of the feelings of people who left. I’ve been here for 4 years, 2 years too long and decided to go back to school full time. I could only imagine it feels like the weight of the world off of my shoulders

Now that Pioneer employees have received the last of their retention bonus money the resignations are rolling in.

I’m almost 100% positive our SM quit
Yesterday she was scheduled to return from vacation
No call/no show
Cell phone doesn’t ring and goes straight to voicemail
Texts not answered

I'm leaving, and I can tell you right away I won't miss the endless approvals, the ancient systems that break daily, or watching my coworkers lose their minds. I was hired to build new things and spent four years keeping old junk running. This place broke me.

Some folks said the resignations are already starting to show on LinkedIn. One was confirmed yesterday, but I didn’t see who it was since it was on someone’s phone.

Does anyone have a list or a post of those who have resigned, or has anyone seen news of an official resignation? We should keep a tally. Let the good times roll. Glad these folks are not going down with the ship!

2 questions related to resignation:

1. When someone gives 2 weeks' notice, does ELV typically have them work the 2 weeks or do they let people go immediately?
2. If ELV ends employment before the 2 weeks is up, do they pay through the notice period?

As a VP, I am required to give 30 days notice to keep RSU and be eligible for rehire. I currently work in controls (second line of defense) but will be joining another competitor bank as an WIM client Advisor.
The last thing I need is ~30 days of no pay due to being let go by WF soon after giving my 30 days notice. What are the chances I will be let go soon after giving 30 days notice?

VP's (P4's) are required to give 30 days notice. Not sure if this is 30 calendar days (~4 weeks) or 30 business days (~6 weeks). Can someone clarify?

Looking for some guidance on PPTO.

I am planning to resign but have not used all my paid parental leave (PPTO). In addition, I have vacations and carry over left as well.

Does Exxon pay the PPTO as payment in lieu (PIL) similar to the unused vacations. Does carry over vacations also count towards PIL?

I am trying to decide if I should resign or stay. If anyone can provide insight into salary range for CL 28 and 29 that would really help me out.

When I resign I understand I need to first be sure to take my carryover and personal days and then vacation will be paid out. Is that correct? Not sure where to find this info.

I have more than 15 years of service but am in my 40s. Alight gives me the following info when I calculate my lump sum:

One-Time Lump Sum

No payment to your beneficiary.

If married, your spouse must consent.

To choose this option, you must take all of your pension benefit(s) as a lump sum. Does this mean I cannot get a lump sum when I resign?

“This option is only available to you upon termination and at your Normal Retirement Date, or immediately upon separation if later than Normal Retirement Date.”

Are you expected to work the two weeks notice or not? I start a new job in a week, but I don't want to not give notice if I can avoid it. Not that I'd want to return to Staples, but you never know what might happen, so I'd like not to burn any bridges if possible.

Even though I left ford in July 2022, I still want to post this. I never told anyone this story.

Doug field once told me and my team “We move as a snail and bring no innovation” though consistently our team was top performing team.

Because of constant badgering my manager quit then my supervisor and then my entire team along with me.

We all went to different companies and many are in leadership positions at suppliers and OEMs now.

When my Manager & team was leaving he said “Good Riddance” despite the team had filed 52 patents in past three years.

He constantly undermined “Ford way” and tried to rope us in with a mentality of “Tesla” or “Apple” or “whatever”.

After four years he was shown the door when he achieved nothing but lost $20B in EV “innovation”. Because of him good ford Engineers left or were forced out.

If any Ford management is reading, I want to tell you that you should consider what you lost and earned by bringing someone who never valued you or your business but in the process you let loyal and innovative people go.

I have no regrets leaving the company but I felt bad for many folks who I were left to take orders from someone who did not value them.

Working? As soon as that daily Teams call wraps up, I’m already mentally checked out. Got the grill going, burgers and ribs cooking low and slow, just enjoying the smell drifting through the yard. I’m kicking back with a controller.
Fridays are quiet anyway. My manager doesn’t bother anyone so I figure there’s no reason to do anything. Good food, no stress that’s just how a Friday ought to be.

I resigned two months ago for a new opportunity and I was really nervous about how it would feel to leave Target. Losing “opportunity”, the chance to work on things at Target scale, the benefits of Target’s brand on my resume.

Honestly, all of those concerns faded a few days in to my new position. Not because my new job is just like Target, but because I didn’t realize how poor the leadership truly is at Target until I worked with people who get along with one another and understand the goal of their work.

People have been welcoming and collaborative. I haven’t been stonewalled in a turf war. Communication is simple and clear. I get what we’re doing and so does everyone else.

The compensation is also par and so is my opportunity.

If you feel like target isn’t firing on all cylinders for you, leave. There are jobs out there.

Isn't interesting that HR just sent out a note today on this in advance of the Townhall tomorrow? Have not seen nor heard much from the CEO or any of the elites in many months. Can't wait to hear how great Gainwell is doing and that they are hiring lots of new people, just like the lies from last year.

You don't see how that place consumes you and warps your perspective until you're on the other side. I don't care what comes next. I'm taking time off to reset, then I'll job hunt. I am likely planning on resigning from my position sometime soon (partially because it’s become a nightmare and also due to a family issue). Is there any harm in volunteering for the next RIF? I see many dates on here (April, May, June, etc.) I don’t know if volunteering for the next RIF will make my already tense situation at work even worse. If I am going to quit, I would hate to do it too soon and miss out on a severance package. Thoughts?

If I didn’t get laid off I was going to leave by end of the fiscal year. It was all I could do to stay as long as I did after the Sept layoffs. The work just piled up with hardly anyone left to do it, but if I stayed long enough to be let go, the $ reward would be pretty nice. I was ecstatic to finally get the nod. My severance is maxed so I’ll be using it as a paid 6 month sabbatical while I get ready to retire. Hasta la vista Oracle and Aloha Larry.

When is the most ideal time from a compensation and benefits standpoint to resign from a commissions/bonus sales position? At the beginning, middle or end of a month? Do we get paid for the last month of commissions worked if the payday is a month later when you're already resigned?

I see many folks hanging around waiting for a severance package. I get that I mean a kicker to go would be ideal especially if you are retirement eligible and this is your last stop in your career. If you have another opportunity outside the phone factory that meets or exceeds current salary/bonus pay and you are not retirement eligible, yet. What do employees gain by achieving retirement eligibility? What would be at risk if you left payroll 3 years before becoming eligible for retirement?

ability to participate in AT&T healthcare plans at your cost 100%

Are there any other meaningful "benefits" at risk by leaving before eligible?
