N&T QA - RTO question
Bad news for RTO trolls on this site. Joe Russo just confirmed the RTO policy is "not a top down one size fits all" policy. He said he encourages everyone to talk to their managers to see what they need to do to be most effective in delivering business outcomes. He also hinted that more company real estate sales will continue.
Fintech is not a bad industry
Just because FIS is a disaster doesn't mean the industry as a whole is.

45,000
That's going to be VZ's full time employee headcount within 2 years. That's a fact!
Thoughts on RTO
How do you think this whole RTO debacle will go? Do you think it’s going to crash and burn and Fidelity will admit their mistakes and return to at least some WFH time? Or do you think they will force us to put up with the terrible conditions until enough people quit that will satisfy their reduced headcount need? I need to see a brighter side to all of this nonsense.
Alleged upcoming Underwriting layoffs
I was informed off record by a manager within Allstate that "big changes" were right around the corner in Underwriting. Basically a large amount of layoffs will be occurring in Underwriting. Anyone else caught wind of this and if so are there any details to share?
CFO Comments
There have been a lot of comments about the CFO and CHRO of Phillips recently. I wanted to start a thread to consolidate views on these two as I have recently interviewed with both and considering a senior role at Phillips 66.
Can you help me by laying out your concerns as there are some pretty significant accusations on this board about both of them.
What should I be aware of as I would be working closely with both of them.
Pilot Catastrophe Services
When did Allstate start using a company called Pilot by Robert E Uhler License 4028069 to handle personal auto policy liability claims? I didn’t know we contracted out our LdU claims.
Why do people bother with town halls?
Nothing useful comes out of them anymore.
Any thoughts on the Woodcreek news
Selling, but leasing back for 15 years is what I've heard.
We might need to contact the Oracle of Delphi
This guessing game is getting tiring.
Congrats on your dry promotion!
The word thru the grape vine is that promotions this year are not coming with monetary raises. You get all the increased responsibility, but your pay is staying put.
Finally, I got my PIP today
Finally, I got my first PIP today. Even that I was doing lot of work and in my opinion I was top performer finally my manager decided that I deserved a PIP... Crazy company... I guess, all the posts saying RAs in September are gonna be true...

Disney Offers Early Retirement to Executives
The company is providing voluntary early retirement packages to eligible executives as part of broader cost-cutting initiatives. This program aims to offer enhanced benefits to employees who meet specific age and service criteria. The offer is a time-limited opportunity for U.S.-based employees at director through EVP levels. This move follows previous layoff rounds and signals continued efforts to reshape the organization. Disney is focusing investments on content, technology, and experiences for future growth.

Cellares Faces Layoffs After Major Customer Loss
Automated cell therapy manufacturer Cellares is implementing layoffs due to the termination of a significant customer partnership. CEO Fabian Gerlinghaus stated the company needs to "resize" following this development. The exact number of affected employees and the identity of the departed customer remain undisclosed. This reduction aims to refocus resources on Cellares' ongoing clinical and commercial programs. The company maintains that its technology is proven and its fundamentals remain strong.

Judge lifted protective order on SF documents
Anyone else see the news article out of Oklahoma City (KFOR news) uncovering emails from top executives related to SF claims practices Would not be surprised if some resignations and/or additional insurance commissioner investigations result from this.

I feel bad for new employees
All they'll ever know is the mess Nike is right now. None of them will know the amazing company we joined decades ago that was on top of the list for so many people. With great pay, great benefits, amazing products, and making us feel proud to be part of it all. I miss those days.
Plans for more cuts
Do we know anything or are we shockingly safe for the foreseeable future?
Nothing in Europe so far
How about elsewhere?
