PI Updates

Any new organizational updates from PI?

Another 10% is leaving on top of all the layoffs this year already. Any word on additional RIF?

A couple ppl have been able to move their VSP date which seems crazy. We were told Dec 11 but several have now moved to 9/4.

Some new teams have already been formed while some remain untouched with no new direction. Are we sitting ducks? Our leaders are leaving and we aren’t being told anything.

Anyone else here being told anything at all?

Also KT suing Centene? And naming KC?

A Simple Request

"The purpose of this site is to provide a space for anyone who'd like to discuss the possibility, likelihood or impacts of layoffs in a company of interest." - TheLayoff.com

It is not supposed to be a revenge site where people go to post rumors, speculation, lies, or even truths about other things. It isn't a suggestion box or anonymous tip line. So I am respectfully asking those of you who have forgotten the reason why this website exists to please stop hijacking it to promote other agendas. The noise is drowning out the information this site is supposed to provide. Thanks.

Layoffs continue today

Many members of my (former as I have been laid off in this wave) have unscheduled :30 1x1s with the boss today. I think that this is the first time I’ve seen the layoffs for a week continue into Tuesday.

Virginia Sees Significant Summer Job Losses

Virginia is experiencing a substantial increase in job losses this summer, with over 430 individuals expected to be laid off in August alone. Since June 21, nearly 3,000 people have lost their jobs, marking a more than 50 percent rise compared to the same period last year. This summer's job cuts are more than triple the number recorded in 2024. Overall, the state has seen approximately 1,000 more job losses announced year-to-date in 2026 compared to 2025. Several companies, including T&H Services LLC and Times Fiber Communications, are contributing to these figures through closures and layoffs.

Layoff started?

Today I opened LinkedIn, and the first thing I saw was two posts from former Synopsys engineers announcing that it was their last day at the company. I'm not sure if this means another round of layoffs has just started. Has anyone heard anything?

ISG deserves to be laid off

It hurts to say it, especially since I service ISG, but ISG deserves to be shut down.

Engineering can never release anything competitive on time, product management doesn't know what a roadmap is, and neither understands enough about the market to know that we are literally 7-10 years behind the competition in virtually every category.

We had this coming a long time ago.

Layoffs

Centene started with layoffs in 2021 after acquiring WellCare, due to promising most of WellCare employees to keep there jobs. When Centene decided to rebrand their Medicare product (AllWell) to WellCare a decline started. After acquiring WellCare, members talked to people all over the USA, not just in the state they lived, this also caused a decline on membership. Cut the fat at the top, let the company go back to the way it was ( talk to people in your state that know your state and resources). Centene was a great company to work for until 2021, acquiring WellCare.
These are my thoughts and observations!

Automotive Suppliers Cut Hundreds of Jobs in Georgia

Several international automotive suppliers in Georgia are implementing significant workforce reductions. These layoffs impact hundreds of production-line workers across multiple counties. Companies from Europe and Asia are among those adjusting their operations. The automotive sector is facing a period of transition due to evolving regulations and the shift towards electric vehicles. These changes are leading to a retrenchment in what has been a strong industry.

CEA Endorsement Sparks Controversy Amidst Funding Concerns

The Connecticut Education Association's endorsement of Governor Lamont is being questioned due to ongoing school funding issues. Despite the governor's claims of full funding, districts like Bridgeport have experienced significant layoffs and program cuts. The CEA's own testimony highlights underfunding, leading to reduced resources and strained special education services. This disconnect raises doubts about the governor's commitment to educators and students. The article suggests that the endorsement contradicts the reality faced by many school districts.

NeoVista Hospitality Reduces Staff Amidst Industry Challenges

A New York restaurant group has laid off approximately 15% of its local workforce. This decision comes despite recent significant investments in new ventures and a historic dining revival. The cuts primarily affected front-of-house employees at newer establishments. Company leadership cited a seasonal business slowdown as the reason for the workforce reduction. Despite these layoffs, the company plans to proceed with further expansion.

Please, Please, let me make it past layoffs

I am so worried. My husband needs our medical coverage very much. I love my job, my role, my peers, my PL. I have been so happy for over a decade. I get good annual reviews and am worried if they go by dollars, I might be on the higher end of my pay scale and therefore easy to be picked to layoff?? Punished for being a good employee for a long time. Wouldn’t that be something. 😔
