Title. I’d imagine folks here agree but want to get personal thoughts, observations or anecdotes. What is the future of this company for its employees? A more transactional model? Is this company that the older employees extol the same company that were living in now? Will the pension be around long term?

More CIOs, that'll fix it!
Saw an org announcement that we now have seven CIOs with overlapping responsibilities (we had some of them before). I guess things were going so well with chief dipsh-t as CDIO that they decided we needed even more chief dipsh-ts. This played out at Optum a decade ago - spoiler alert: it ends with RIFs and consolidation.
Our Path Forward
We will re-arrange the chairs on the Titanic and call it a day.
Sept 30th, get ready
Next round of layoffs are planned for Wednesday Sept 30.
Any updates on the Computational Team?
There have been quite a few discussions recently about potential changes and layoffs. Has anyone heard any confirmed information about what is happening with the Computational Team or whether they are affected?
Would appreciate any reliable updates or insights.
Dell vs NVIDIA
NVIDIA has approximately 42,000 full-time employees and just reported $96.2B in fiscal 2027 quarterly revenue, with projections to do 110B next quarter. They could easily surpass $500B within the next two fiscal years. That's nearly $12M in annual revenue per employee.
Dell Technologies reported an annual revenue of $113.5 billion with an employee headcount of approximately 97,000 full-time workers. That's 1.1M in annual revenue per employee.
NVIDIA has 43% of the total number of employees to Dell yet it is on track to bring in well over 10x the total amount of revenue per employee. Leadership!
Nvidia is hiring, Dell is firing. Nvidia is growing rapidly, Dell is dying.
Pappa wake up after 1 year
Tony p came got folks to change logo, went on DXC holidays and golf trips for a year, and has now issued his email for the next year. Cavery has gone to join another employer. Mary before her wasted a load of money on Manchester and F1. Ask anyone about DXC and they will says its a fried chicken outlet. What a merry go round

Coding Monkeys
When coding monkeys are given the reign to run the show, the audiences (customers) suffer.
Stupid Enterprise Tech bean counters decided to eliminate the whole technical product manager (TPM) role because they couldn't tell the good ones from the bad ones. Now we're in the same quagmire of mostly bad engineering "leaders" sprinkled with a few good ones.
A place of incompetents.
Reddit: Bottom 15% being Auto-PIP'd
Only Elite Human Capital could think this is a good idea: Everyone in the bottom 15% of whatever nonsense metrics they're using this week (whichever ones the right people can game properly) are getting automatically PIP'd.
https://www.reddit.com/r/IBM_Employees/comments/1vyloiq/low_performance_bucket/
As we all know they use PIPs to prep people for being RA'd. And all the rumors are pointing to a massive RA in September.
Are managers in European countries making up excuses to put people on PIPs and then lay them off?

More Layoffs On the Way & Here’s Why
This Fall, TIAA & many U.S. employers and workers are being squeezed by the steepest run-up in health insurance costs in years, with average family premiums nearing $26,993 in 2026 and pressure building for even sharper increases in 2027. Nearly 300 insurers offering offering health coverage to medium to larger businesses reported a median proposed premium increase of 14% for 2027, according to an analysis of preliminary rate filings from all 50 states and DC. according to a recent KFF survey. TIAA will be forced to ship more jobs offshore to India, The Philippines & Nepal.

A little perspective
All this talk about layoffs and VSPS. Come on people- aren’t you watching the news - it’s not about war or inflation or layoffs. Dolly P went tats up. A little respect…
Anyone at confluent here?
Anyone on the GTM team at confluent? Are there layoffs?
Delighting customers !
After my departure from GTS last month I went through the process of moving all of my lines (as well as the lines of a handful of friends whom I talked into coming to VZ when I joined) to T-Mo. 16 lines in total. And I have to say, it was a delightful experience.
Only two nags to instead look for "deals", then you get the pin and account # that you need to give T-Mo. They have fantastic deals for people bringing their phone and number from Verizon. In my case the total cost at T-Mo is less than my VZ cost including employee discount (and therefore less than half compared to what I would have paid starting next month since you get one pay cycle of EDP and then it's full price). And I'll get $2k worth of pre-paid master cards...
With 15k people either RIFed or leaving on their own, and an average of maybe 4 lines per employee, that's a cool 60k lines lost. Well done, Dan. And thank you for making it a delightful experience!
Anyone heard anything about Focal?
We heard that Focal is happening in September. Anyone heard anything, or do you think they’ll announce it after another round of layoffs? 😅
This Friday or next Monday
Pretty sure that we will hear about the layoff this Friday or next Monday. I'm bracing myself for it.
These multiple waves of layoffs are making me sick.
Venezuela
Are we ready to go back into Venezuela? Would we need to increase hiring and reduce layoffs/PIPs to ramp up activity there? Or we’ll simply lean on more BTC?
What departments are affected
Does anyone know what departments are affected in this new layoff development from KOMO News?

H1B's MUST be considered for Layoff to be fair for All.. Why are they being protected ??
Fiserv sends U.S. Citizens that worked for very long time, Out the door first.. Very sad.
What's stopping all of us on going on a work stoppage?
Oracle has decided to down rank everyone in the reviews, they're pushing aggressive layoffs, demanding free overtime.
At this point what do you have to risk by coordinating a work stoppage? They're going to do layoffs anyway. No point in trying to pretend like they didn't put you on the list.
To HR and management reading this.. You asked for it.
Amadeus lays off staff in Australia, including key team members
Amadeus is carrying out mass layoffs in Australia, affecting core team members
Adios!
My number has come up. Funny thing is our team was completely swamped and overworked on a skeleton crew already. Director made sure her friend circle kept their roles which will fall in her face in two years when half the ones they kept retire and the other half are incompetent.
Best of luck everyone. I’m going to reset my nervous system from this place and try to forget these past few years happened.
Uncivilized
Anyone else leave the bank and being subject to non-stop spam from [now-outsourced] talent acquisition regarding the exact same U.S. Bank positions? Four outreach efforts, four different outsourced recruiters, one job posting. I suppose it is difficult to fill positions when nobody wants to join the dumpster. Earth to Gunjan, have some dignity in how you run your bank.
FTE vs contractors
FTEs got laid off, contractors stayed on AND many got their contract renewed till 2027/12, right before the layoff! Contractors cost WAY MORE than FTEs, the math just doesn't add up!!!!
More May Come
Read the HO QA questions and the ELT answers and seems to me like they will now be masking ISPs and layoffs with a term titled Future Ways of Working… I am all for the future and the tech we can invest in but my issue is we are nowhere ready for all that and I feel still years away from what they are wanting to do.
STCB News Please
I know there have already been quite a few posts about STCB, but still I wanted to ask again because I genuinely want to understand what the plan is going forward.
For me, the biggest confusion is whether it makes sense to start looking outside and jump to another company earlier than I had planned, or just stay with STCB, take it a little easy, and see how things settle down. With so much uncertainty, even a little clarity on the future would really help.
August 2026 layoffs
whose effected? more coming?
D Day for ITC and soon it will be closed
People are pretty upset about the new VP from Walmart. Word is he's already having a tough time over there, so everyone is scratching their heads as to why Nike decided to bring him on. It feels like ITC is about to head downhill, and with no other locations to rescue, GT in trouble and shift everything back to PHK.
BH UM he-l
bh um is no different from all the cr-p going on! Since all the policy changes auth requests have dwindled - very litlte work to do! We point this out all the time and were asking how is all this affecting our job security - told with a smile no no….there is always work to do. Nope!!!!! No one can meet their ridiculous productivity requirements and on every 1:1 PL are told to mark us down for not meeting metrics even though there isnt enough work to do!!!!! Then they start tracking our laptops with pega to make sure were are in the applications but there is no work to do!!!!!! Im so glad i got the heck out of UM!!!!!! A nightmare!!!!!!
So Hollar sells $29M in stock in one day
And what do we get
My god this company su-ks
My retirement is non-existent from the share price decimation and this company just su-ks to work for now since everyone hates it.
Done with layoffs?
Do you guys think they are done with layoffs?
I didn’t attend the TH. What was said/implied about layoffs?
Surely our new leader was forthcoming with information so vital to our families livelihoods.
IBM is in Big Trouble
Is it just a coincidence that literally 4 weeks after the giant IBM stock implosion caused by AK and his incompetent management that this board is filled with posts of people and entire teams getting put on PIPs, terminated etc ? IBM is beyond desperate to reduce headcount without having to pay out one cent...you can see and smell the desperation. But it's also amazing the number of people who no longer GAF about IBM , do the bare minimum, and say they are just floating along for another 1 or 2 years until they get forced out. IBM should add DGAF to their name.

RIP Houston Accounting and Finance
Sorry to hear that the Houston accounting has been gutted. It is starting to feel their goal is to eliminate all US positions possible, and have everything in Canada. Who is next?
2025 MP/GP/ELT comp
https://www.financialadvisoriq.com/c/5115064/722894/edward_jones_chief_penny_pennington_dips
According to this article, PP's income took a 3.5% cut and only took home $27.8mil in GP earnings. In fact, the top 6 partners (including FL who's now retired) took home over $130,000,000 in GP comp last year while our pathetic little LPs earned only a fraction of the GP shares.
2025 GP comp from this article:
PP $27.8m
AM $21.3m
KC $21.7m
DC $19m
KJ $21.3m
TOTAL $131.5
- FL retired at the end of 2025
Yet while they roll in the dough, we're faced with layoffs, offshoring, AI and the lowest morale I've ever seen in more than two decades. Shoot... each of these partners will make more money between now and 12/31 than most of us will ever see in our lives, much less be able to accumulate & grow for our own retirement.
It's been said before... you don't hate these trolls enough.
